This is a sister with the same coat. She is heavy..I know but not owned by me. Just visiting!!! The other sister is in the database...Eve vom NeoHaus. She has a shorter, denser coat.

my gal 12mos old looks about the same type of coat but she has more wavy on her back.
would this wavy on the back go away when she matures?

Kool,
I would have to say yes...but wavy is still okay.
What is the pedigree on your dog?

Thank you. He hasn't had a bath in quite awhile (MONTHS)...even though he needs one BIG TIME. As a younger puppy I had to bath him monthly because he was so messy....so it's not from overbathing... He's on a great diet and it has improved once I got off the raw. On the raw diet him and my other male's coats were more coarse and dull. I followed all the reccommendations and supplements but the results weren't near as good when they are on the Innova dog food. I have them on the Innova w/Omega 3 and they look GREAT! And they have more energy and stomachs aren't "bloaty".
Julie had told me that it's a fault and I couldn't show him like that, and tried to follow people's suggestions. I'm not going to worry about it to much then. His next show isn't until September that I'm hoping to take him too so I have plenty of time to see how it goes or try what people have suggested to me.
Thanks!

not to sound silly, but if you're that worried about it you can always either give him a bath, or just spray that area with water, and use a hair dryer with comb or flat brush and dry it. my dog had something similar when he was a puppy, and he grew out of it, but the hair dryer is just a quick fix.

There is no perfect dog out there. There is ONLY PERFECTION in a statue. If you are not happy with this male, then contact the breeder where you bought him from. There is nothing wrong with the coat.

I have had a couple pups like that, just keep running your hands across his hair, and then brush with a slicker brush.

KMS makes a product called Flat Out. It is for humans who have curly hair and want it soft and straight. It is about 20 bucks a bottle. Not a chemical straightner either. After the hair (or fur) is wet, put a drop of the Flat Out in your palm, rub hands together and then through the "unruly" rump fur (my SAR K9 has this, we call it Tufty Butt). I use a flat brush and blow dryer to comb through and dry. Works great.
Edited: Sorry didn't realize this was such an old post until after I hit send
