OT....MMA Tonight on CBS,, network takes big chance - Page 1

Former Inmate, Homeless man, Bouncer, Body Guard, Pit Streetfighter "KIMBO", , headliner on tonight's card.  Mixed Martial Arts, will go mainstream tonight as CBS airs the first episode of the new prime-time series EliteXC Saturday Night Fights.

There is also going to be a female MMA fight, isnt there? Is this company trying to compete with the UFC?

Yes, Elite XC, is an up and coming organization to compete with the UFC. Their fight productions, have been on the Cable Network, Showtime.  One of their best fighters is the beautiful girl, Gina Carano.  Her dad was a quarterback for the Dallas, Cowboys.  Gina will be on tonight's card, and is really something to see.

Pretty bad she didn't make weight though, and had to give part of her purse to her opponent. She couldn't drop 4lbs? The men have to do it all the time.

Congratulations Abhay on both your son's title and your "favorite kid" making it to "the house".  My husband and I are huge UFC and Ultimate Fighter fans.  We've watched the UFC grow from the beginning and the days of "The Beast", Tank Abbott and the likes.

So, okay now you two, who are your favorite coaches for this season's UF?   I've gotta go with my guy Forrest.  I've been a huge fan ever since he and Stephan Bonner beat the heck out of each other in their season finale and both were awarded contracts!

We also watch WEC and will be pulling for Jens Pulver in the upcoming Uriah Faber/Jens Pulver fight.
