JOZOLLI

by JOZOLLI on 17 November 2004 - 14:11

In response to Solo's posting with regard to this issue again, I feel it is worthwhile pointing out (since this is an international site) that it is not the view of everyone in the UK that all or most of our chosen judges are corrupt. There are many worthy champions and winners in the UK whose reputation has been damaged time and again by the opinions of SOME exhibitors. Give Solo his due - he competes at top level. Many who shout the loudest do not and cannot compete and it is often through an ignorance of their own animals faults that they are down the line, not through judges corruption. Of course no judge will please everyone, but if I had a five pound note for every predicted ticket winner before a show which was supposed to be corrupt WHICH NEVER CAME TRUE I would have a bigger house, larger kennels and longer holidays. Everyone can express an opinion, but too many of those who tear a dog to shreds because it is owned by a top kennel, without an ounce of good solid breed knowledge to back up their comments, or who have a problem with a specific dog which strangely enough appears in a class alongside their own animals have opinions which are flawed.
