Hello everybody,
I'd like to know if it's possible to distinguich a longhair or middle-longhair pup from a normal one
at the age of 5 weeks. Thanks for your answers.

Ha! I feel for you. I am in the middle of figuring out the same thing. If you look back at past messages from about 2 weeks ago I sent a post in and received a lot of good emails about how to tell the difference. Good Luck!

corieone,
thank you for your answer. I'll check it immediatly.
3 of my pups seem like a poodle during the 2 first weeks but now the lenght of hairs is not different then the others. Wait and see

HI
IF IT IS GOING TO BE A COATED PUP LOOK FOR WAVES ON THE HEAD, DAMPEN A CLOTH AND RUB ACROSS THE HEAD AND BACK, IF IT LOOKS WAVING, WALLA, YOU GOT A LONG COAT OR PLUSH ONE.
I HAVE HAD THEM AND THEY SELL AS FAST AS STOCK COATS, SO DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. I KNOW IT IS NOT THE STANDARD BUT IT HAPPENS, NOBODY CAN CONTROL A GENE THAT SLIPS THROUGH FROM FAR BACK IN A PEDIGREE OF THE UTMOST BEST, SO DEAL WITH IT AND BE HAPPY, IT MIGHT TURN OUT THE BEST WORKING PUP EVER.?? GOOD LUCK TO YOU FOR SURE. A GERMAN FRIEND THAT HAS BEEN IN MY HOME SAID, HER BEST SHUTZHUND DOG WAS A COATED FEMALE. AND, SHE IS A TRAINER OF THEM IN GERMANY??

Sorry for changing the subject but do you think, since LC are considered faults but if they have a strong working ability do you think they should be bred?
