Been doing a little research and I missed this one....and was totally caught up in surprise...just doesnt make sense.

All the ridicule to everyone about   get your hips done and "dont breed if doesnt pass "and "dont breed if you dont have a KK..".well Im tired of trying to figure it out..

I don't understand your point or what you're asking. First off--if she was OFA'd, it was likely after she'd been bred with an a-stamp in Germany.  In addition, this dog was born in the early 1970s. Also, if you read the comment, it says that she was fast-normal hips--not the best, but permitted for breeding.

YRT, there is no record in OFA's on-line database of any GSD with that name, not that I can find.  If you look at the change history the dog's info has been changed back and forth by two different users.  Since anyone can post anything about any of these dogs, it may not be true that this dog is dysplastic per OFA.

I wouldn't use this database as my sole source of data for any dog because there is no controlled access to modify a dog's listed info, and no means of validation either.

Yvette:  I found the this dogs pedigree on two dogs I was checking out and one is  my own Bear Jerome with a certified peridgree from   Volkerstrasse Pedigree Library and the other was behind a dog that has a litter mate who is dysplastic according to the database, also  from this same lineage...  It states this dogs same pedigree in the other dogs with Uran v Wildsteigerland in their pedigrees...I have not seen a pink paper of a german sv rating to see what is said on the paperwork from any of the  past descendants...

If it is not true that this dog is    OFA dysplastic  it sure would be good to know...

Yes it is back in the 70's but some of the dogs in this current bitch all have very high hip ratings and some of the progheny have hip dysplasia stated on their pedigrees also. and they are descentdants of this female...I never caught it in Bears pedigree till yesterday....because this male has Uran in his pedigree I was looking back at each pair and looking for sables , not hips....when I saw it  , was I surprised...not really cause a lot of litters not posted do contain some dysplastic mild pups....its a puzzle to me  how Germany has such a difference in ratings acceptible...

Being that this is dog from the 70's she may not be listed in the OFA on-line database.  However, I'm sure you could clear up the matter with a phone call to verify whatever rating she might have received.

SchHBabe:  I hit submit before I completed my posting...Got in a hurry...This is the dog I was going back on to look at what is behind her....several have very high ratings according to what I found and I was curious and also looking for sables anywhere in any of these lines...Bear is a sable out of Kanto but Lava v Korbelbach was bred to Kanto out of Uran....and he is red sable...I did get one bad hip out of the only breeding I did with Bear and it was a really bad one...He has not been bred since...Hes just a big awesome Bear in my kennel who carries a bowl in his mouth 24/7. His is ofa good and so was the mom. and all of his parentage in first two generations were "a" stamped and one fast normal.

User submitted comment by Paul Zimmermann explains that

at the time at which Wala von der Sturmwolke was bred (alive) it was still possible to breed without the A Stamp,
and to be acredited with ZB: V and Kkl1 - without a Hip score.
Walla even placed Landessiegerin!

Some of my first OFA dogs from the early to mid 70's are not on the OFA web site.
