The dynamics of the breed are again changing in the US. For the past few years the German Import was suppressed as the euro exchange rate and overall US economy had an effect on Importing. I'm not sure the US economy has rebounded but there have been some dips in the exchange rates that created opportunities for the US to compete with other countries for some of the top specimens.

This year we see a return to the level of competition and quality that existed a decade ago with some twists. I recall the 2002 USA sieger show where the females on the podium were all top 15 V rated at the German Sieger Show. This year should be no different. There are many more Imports this year compared to last. I think I've picked out a German VA female, top 10 V, and two in the top 30 V that were top 15 SG at the German Sieger Show. There are also some accomplished North American bred females that will be peppered throughout the class. It's going to be a competitive class and the competitors are going to have to bring their A game to the show.

Ruger1,

I think it will be a very exciting show this year. I hope to see you again at a sieger show.

A little behind the scene history. Elle and Enzo are both Rallhaus dogs. The breeding was a rare combination of genetics. It's a linebreeding on one of the few dogs that have demonstrated the ability to produce working ability in the conformation lines. The litter was planned and executed with performance in mind.

From the inception two excellent trainers were interested in the combination and as expected the litter produced the working ability many feel are lacking in the conformation lines. (Actually the working ability is somewhat abundant. It's just that people don't bother to seek it, they would rather accept that it's not there and go with that, it's much easier to complain than act. Same goes for the V rated working dogs.)

The pups are linebred 4-2 on Yello vom St. Michaels-Berg through the Father WUSV World Universal Sieger Champion VA Zambo Reidschlurgi and the mother VA Honey vom Finkenschlag, sister to VA Nando Gollerweiher. Honey won the top performance award at the 2011 NASS.

Performance combination from two VA Parents that come from top 10 world producing genetics is the stuff true 'World Class' litters are produced from.

Below is a picture of Elle who I predict will be a dog to be reckoned with in the future. Keep your eyes on this girl and watch her rise to the top. I believe she will be one of if not the best ever from Zambo

Rik,

Not sure which female. I've seen quite a few recently. Recent events have given the US an influx of new blood and the working female class is a great place to look for the future.

I see a few other stories in the show.
