Wow! Reading stuff like this makes me not wanna leave my house! There are so many sick and scary people out there.

But I will say if somebody wants my ATM card and PIN number, it's theirs!

Very sad story.

Moral of the story; when hiking or camping, remember to bring your Casull or Desert Eagle...and plenty of maximum grain ammo...

by SharpDawg on 22 March 2008 - 23:03

There are just too many sick twisted people in this world.

What would i give to get scum like that in a small room by myself , there is nothing too bad that can be done to this evil---a Slow lingering time would only be a part of it

Its heart breaking to read such stuff, knowing it happened to that brave Girl

I said to several people that I wasn't going to post further after that bar-fly attack on one particular thread, but I do think that I need to say something here.

Ladies, Capt.Mike is right.

All the classes (in a controlled environment) in the world won't prepare you for the emotions involved in an actual, uncontolled attack.  It will give you the skills if the attacker isn't armed, but by the time your emotions subside and survival kicks in you may be dead..  You may survive the attack.  You may not , depending upon your female/nurturing instincts..  Anymore, I prefer to "stack" the odds in my favor.

Having been attacked once unprepared in any way, (no, I will NOT go into details) I now carry my 'manstopper".  A Glock 26.  Also known as the "baby Glock".  I have a CCW permit to do so.

As I said, Capt. Mike is right.

Ladies, if you find yourselves in secluded places, (such as a walk with your dogs in the forest), or what would be considered "dangerous" places, (such as alone at an ATM machine, walking to your car in a parking lot, etc.) you would be well-advised to be armed with a "manstopper".

It doesn't take much more than a few dollars and a few classes to obtain the firearm and the permit, but it could save your life.

If you don't have to use it, great.  But if you do, and you don't have it......

Aye! God created Man,, but Smith & Wesson made em equal aye.  A nice LadySmith revolver be a nice Manstopper Aye!

by FionaDunne on 23 March 2008 - 18:03

True, CaptMike.

The make of a lady's firearm doesn't matter, be it a Baby Glock or a LadySmith.  Either will be a manstopper.

It was my own misfortune and ignorance that I wasn't properly protected against my attack.

My ignorance  - and that is the key word.

No longer ignorant or in a panic situation, I am now armed. As should all women be anymore.

Read the linked article - there are allegations of him being a possible serial killer.

FWIW, I don't think just giving him the ATM and the PIN number would have worked (I think the suspcision is he used Bryant's that way - at least I recall on the news that the Bryant's ATM card was used in Tennessee after they went misisng and her body was found near where they lived, then his a few months later quite a distance away ..

My 9mm Manhurin is darned good close range. Fits handily in my pocket, nicely balanced, holds a 9 round clip, will make a hole large enough to qualify as a picture window.
