I also order my heartworm meds from Australia.  No prescription needed and shipping is cheap.

Thank you so much for the heads up. I just ordered frontline & heartguard for both my dogs and the total bill was 200.00. No tax or shipping. I paid 14.00 for 1 heartguard from my vet last year and that was puppy strength.

Thanks Again

Bio-Spot does everything  Frontline does at about half the price plus it repels mosquitos and controls flea development, Frontline does neither. It's for dogs 6 months and older. I've used Bio-Spot for 14 years, never saw a flea or a tick.

You can buy ivermectin liquid for dogs to prevent heartworm or you can use horse paste. This will cost about 1/4 of what you pay for Heartguard. You can find both at Tractor Supply or you can buy the liquid on the net and find the dosing directions there too.  I've used horse paste for 6  years, no heartworm. Most of my breeder friends use the liquid for multiple dogs, cut it with propylene glychol. I can get you the formula if you're interested. A bottle of liquid ivermectin will probably treat 20 or more dogs for at least 5 years, even longer I think, and costs around $50 or less. The glycol is also very inexpensive. The horse paste is around $5  per tube and one tube will treat a 100 lb GSD for 3 years. It will become outdated before you use it all. BTW these methods are not approved for dogs and may never be since there are much more expensive products on the market that are approved for dogs.

Thanks to all for your leads on cheaper pricing sources for Frontline or other products. Certainly buying the 88-132 lb size and splitting it between 2 dogs is a money saver and dividing doses for smaller, younger dogs and pups will cut down on cost.

I did get a lead on another Australian company that even beats your Aussie company Jim Stiles so I will share per your request.

Comes out to about $7.65 and $7.98 for the larger size dog, shipping is $6.50 and they have 100 % rating on ebay .    FYI

As always do your own research regarding any regulations from out of the country products (safety standards, etc.)

Well, not that it's a contest, (but if it is,what a great one!!), I just paid $40.00 for SIX months of the 44-88 lb. Frontline Plus (including shipping) on eBay from noahpets.   I have bought from them several times and have been very happy--current batches (not expired, or about to expire) and good customer service.   Just do a Frontline search on eBay.    I also do the liquid Ivermectin deal--get a SMALL syringe to measure carefully and squirt in their mouth (minus the needle, of course).  I give 0.10 cc (one-tenth!) per 20 lbs.   Very cheap, as Blitzen suggested.   Just be very careful not to overdose.

Love the megastore link--looks like a super place--thanks!
