Ok-
What are the typical terms and pricing for leasing a female for the purpose of breeding and whelping a litter?
I know the lessee is responsible for all vet related expenses of breeding, whelping and the puppies.

Shut up...didn't ask for your opinions and I don't need or want them.

that was rude.... you actually lease a dog for reproduction?

I've seen males leased more often than females. Males can be bred alot. females only have so many litters and they are taking one of them. I guess it all depends on how long, how many litters, what they are going to charge for pups, etc, etc. How great is your female? I can lease a chevette or a corvette. The price will be different.
Take it easy on two moons. he is ethical.

Is there something wrong with leasing?
The most wonderful dog I ever knew of and had the privilege to own was from a leased bitch. She was leased from Germany and was basically working lines. Guess the breeder was experimenting with bloodline mixing and so forth without going the whole way.

I just never heard of it thats all.... I can see stud fee's I cant see handing over my animal so someone else can breed it and profit from the selling of pups.
It almost sounds like prostitution

I only have 2 GSD's:
1 female - out of Stormfront's Brawnson - 5 yrs old - titled & OFA'd - 2 litters
1 male - out of Car Policia - 6 yrs old - titled/breed surveyed/excellent hips - Czech Import
No real interest in breeding another litter right now but would like a puppy from these two. Or at least a puppy from my male.
Just looking at options.
Have someone asking and I wanted to know more. I would consider leasing a female to breed to my male and a friend is also looking at leasing a female as she is in similar boat. Only she just has a male and no females.
Her male carries multiple titles, OFA'd, awesome pedigree and doesn't stud him out as she is VERY selective. But she would like to breed him without having to buy a female. Leasing opens that possiblity with not having to keep a female or try to sell her later.
I am sorry about my rather harsh comment - Two Moons.
