Rob

I remeber when you were debating on whether to switch to Switch to Orijen or stay with a food made by Damond.

Glad to see it has worked out for you.  My Gunner won't eat anything else but Orijen.  Every day I have people stop me while I'm walking him and ask what I'm feeding him they can't get over how good his coat looks.  Quality does count.

Roborob, as far as I know there are no Orijen dealers in PA, so have to order off the net and either pay the K9 Cuisine price of $62 including shipping or a bit lower price of $59 plus the shipping which ends up costing more. I've never seen it for $42 per bag. Where the heck do you live?

Larry, thats funny because we go through the same things with our girl Cora, she has become an ambassador for the breed here as most people aparently have never seen what a real GSD looks like, at least not a showline with a pedigree like hers...She is a gorgeous girl and the picture here doesn't do her justice at all...She almost doesn't shed and that coat is so rich and full with all that red in it people stop and ask us what kind of dog she is, guess most people are used to tan/blk where Cora is blk/red...I've tried Chicken Soup...which makes the dog very gassy with very loose poops as well as RC24, I will not do business with Diamond...IMO Orijen is the best dry dog food available and my girl is all the proof I need see...I have nothing against the working side of the equation at all i just prefer the beauty of what my showline girl has to offer...I respect what a working GSD can do and perhaps one day I might go in that direction...I love the breed and do not discriminate either way...We all do what we do beacause we can...

Blitzen, we are in Florida over on the west coast just south of Ocala and Orijen is pretty much available locally in most of the pet food stores around here...Not all but I have had no trouble at all getting it for the $42.00 I quoted you here...In fact I am always stoping in and seeing what the local (within 25 miles anyway) pet food stores have and just this weekend was talking to a store owner who carries the small bags but would gladly order the large bags and meet the $42.00 price I have been paying at the place i usually buy from...I can't get Timberwolf Organics here but can order it online, they do not charge for shipping or handling which I think only helps them sell more of their products...

  Its all good,

   Rob

I hope some of the pet food dealers around here start to sell Orijen. I'll have to make some phone calls tomorrow. There are a few PA distributors listed on the Orijen website, but none near me.

Blitzen

It's worth the trouble`to find Orijen.  I had to convince my local food store to carry Orijen ahe said she had plenty of brands why carry another?  It took awhile but now she thanks me every time she see's me.   She now sells way more Orijen than anything else.

I took my Gunner to buy my Orijen yesterday I'm trying the new fish formula.  There were two woman in their buying something else both came over to us and said I have never seen a coat on a dog like that he's just so beautoful.  What do you feed him" Orijen.     Both bought bags of Orijen instead of their regular food.   On the way out the owner told me she is thinking of changing the name of her store to the Orijen store.     Quality does count!!
