My Bitch is on heat and my 10 month old pups penis is out from the fur part and is hanging down larger than usual. I never seen anything like this before and I am new at this. What could be going on with him?

he's horny! is there any swelling at the base near the fur part? if so, he's ummmm, aroused. take him for a walk and it should go back in. the swelling is the part that the boys use to "tie" with a female when they are breeding, it's a gland called a bulb.

Sheesh, what do you THINK is happening? He's got a hard-on, or semi-hard on!! 10 months is still old enough for a pup to respond to a female in heat. As a matter of fact, he may well have sperm at that age, and be capable of getting her preggers, if he can figure out just what to do. If you don't want an unplanned litter, for God's sake, SEPARATE THEM....NOW!!
And let me warn you, where there's a will there's a way! I've heard of dogs going through two sets of doors to get to a female, or destroying their crates. I've even heard of litters being conceived through a chain link fence. though I image that would be pretty painful for both parties. And it goes both ways. My pup's mom opened her kennel door and climbed an 8 ft. chain link fence to get to the stud. .So, my point is, DO NOT trust your 10 month old OR your bitch for one minute!

he is old enough to breed her - so unless you want him to be the sire of her next litter, keep them separated!

and yes, keep them separated. 10 months is plenty old enough to breed her! and don't think for one minute, that oh, they wouldn't do that, because they will!

The younger one is probably maturing sexually more at the moment so he's basically a horny teenager!
