You mean "Greif (SPARWASSER)".  It could be; probably is because he is very much in most pedigrees.  Often the name seems to have been just the actual name, and sometimes a kennel added on.  You can find him in here like that, too (all you need is "Greif" and go to the G section of possible names).  Same with Lena (Sparwasser).  They seem to have been called by their call names and distinguished with a kennel or other descriptor.  I don't know what the official registration names would be, IOW.  Always start with the base call name, I say, to start looking.

This was also true for the great "Flora (Berkemeyer)", late as she was.  Many of us simply called her Flora Berkemeyer, no parenthetical.  But she may have been just "Flora" officially.  Others seem to have mistakenly listed her as Flora v. Berkemeyer.  Oh the problems you can have with this!
