4pack

by 4pack on 26 July 2007 - 18:07

anika bren, tell me then, where do you get kibble in rodent flavor? Grapes are not poisonous. Anything eaten in large quantity can hurt or kill your dog. A few table grapes will not kill or harm your dog. Raisins, yes they are different but even a few will not hurt a GSD.

The issue with vets worrying about day after day of "perfectly" balanced meals is crap. No one eats "perfectly" balanced meals daily. Beef, chicken and lamb will infact be on a feral dogs diet, if they are available to the dog.

Kibble is cooked at such high temps most nutrients are cooked right out, even if they were balanced to start.

Beef, chicken and pork aren't even natural anyway and most of the world lives off of it now don't they? LOL These were all domestic animals, created for consumption and ranching, not beasts we find in the wild.

you tell 'em, 4pack!! I know very few vets who know diddley about proper nutrition, just marketing and their checkbook...... I feed a commercially prepared raw food (I distribute it also) with raw meaty bones and our dogs have never been so healthy.... I know exactly what is in their food! I have been to the plant and watched the process. How many peole havebeen to Menu foods??

I beg to differ with anikabren, any dog would be in heaven if they got into a chicken coop or the cow pasture!!

They would not constantly eat rabbits since their bodies would tell them they needed a fattier protein source!! A diet of too much rabbit is actually dangerous.... too lean

Natures recipe makes a rabbit(rodent)  and, I think,  rice dog food. It is not very common because many dogs are allergic to it.

I wouldnt ask a vet in any state about what to feed my dogs....for thousands of years ,what in the world do you think dogs have been fed...dried chicken ,dried beef and dried lamb meals all burnt and without a single bit of any nourishment....There is a breeder in Kansas that has raised dogs on rice and chicken for 30 years and adds only vit c and e and oils to the die

My dog ate an easter chicken from the neighbor childrens, getaway, and she never even paused   beak  feathers, feets and all ,,,,green at that....dogs eat berries, mice ,rabbit, chicken turkey, birds it doesnt matter as long as its in the food chain....

add a dose of'Complete and go about you business....It takes less time to buy meat and eggs and  7 grain bread, a bottle of wheat germ and yogurt and cottage cheese....

Or you can feed commercial dog food and see your vet and give him all your money....

I chose to keep mine.   Your pup is pulling a spoiled brat syndrome     read the thread a few weeks back about   My puppy wont eat...
