What is the average, or standard height at the withers for a 6 month old male gsd?

Depends whether he's a fast grower... usually subsides around 6 to 7 months. At 7 mos he should attain his minimal height say the 2 ft marker for a male and from then all it's ALL GENES... whether his is Grossly Large, over-medium, or just medium (bitches should be just above medium)... Substance or built usually develops slowly.. may take upto or more than 2 years (DDR lines longer)... bone is genetic either heavy-boned or not... but still your GSD should stay low-stationed heavy boned or not... That's why it is a medium sized breed...its measured at the withers... have a nice day... :) marci
