GOT RIPPED OFF - Page 1

Ijust wanted to let you know to watch out for JEFF GODINEZ  jeffgodinez027@removed by gsd mod  from Texas, I bought a dog off of German Shepherd Pedigree Data Base almost a year ago for $1500. I also PAID FOR SHIPPING. He has you put the money in his girlfriend Gloria's bank . The dog name is Pantera 2 and never recieved her. Every time I call him he hang's up. I wonder how many times he sold this dog, ( if there is a Pantera 2 ) Do your self a favor and don't get ripped off like I did

sounded shady when you used the friends bank account. stick with reputable breeders and you won't have this kind of thing happen.

YES WHAT SABLE SAID NEVER EVER EVER BUY A DOG OFF HERE ALWAYS STICK WITH REPUTABLE WELL KNOWN BREEDERS FIND AT LEAST 15 ONLINE CUSTOMERS U CAN CHAT WITH BEFORE U MAKE A CHOICE IF  u do buy a dog off here only buy one from a chatter that is an established breeder that is well known with a web site right on this forum you will find a handfull of very good trustworthy breeders i would buy dog from any day!

find a breeder who is well liked on a forum and has been chatting on a forum for a long long time

a trust worthy person will have connections to to other trust worhty people and will often have dogs from well known respected breeders themselves


find a breeder that is respected by a lot of people

NEVER BUY  A dog from just a person unless you can fly down there and analize and loook at the dog yourself even then u run the risk of the dog having health issues a good respected breeder wont let u suffer with a dog they sold u that has health issues if they did that they lose their respect.

I followed all the rules above and so far have gotten the dog which was exactly what i have asked for

My question to you and others who get ripped off the same way is...

What did he say that made you trust him?

Did you feel comfortable making the initial transaction?

He spoke  as if he was a repitable breeder and business man , alway's returned my e-mails , and phone call's, If he took a day or so he was apoligetic becouse he was away on buiness, very knowlegable about German Shepherd's .  I have bought many dog's from all over the world , and never was taken advantage of . I've alway's recieved what I paid for out of the country. It just so happen's the only one who I was ripped off from was someone in the U.S. that is the sad part. Not saying every one in the U.S. are theves , just him.

It happens. What you have to decide is if you want to continue. I've had my butt smoked a couple of times to the point that it looked like it might never recover.

My only  opption , I have all the e-mail's saved , I have all the the info. of the bank account  , and I have the address of  JEFF GODINEZ his cell# e-mail and all the recipt's of the money I put in his bank . The name of his wife is KARLA GARCIA , I made a mistake on her name before. My next step is to go to the police, inTexas where they are from , this is internet fraud. If nothing else these people need to be stopped from doing this , or more to someone else.

I really don't know how out-of-country law would work, but if possible, please consider filing a police report with authorities in their area for fraud (be sure to give them all of your information including his friend's name, etc. since she would be part of it as well for accepting the money into her account.)  Here's hoping you can get some assistance and your money back. 

I just found out this is not just an internet crime , it is a Federal offence,  and a feloney , punishable to some jail time. I was told I may have to get intouch with the police in Texas end or the F.B.I. and give them this info.

A very strong statement to make when there are many reputable breeders who post here.
I have placed /flown out many dogs from this forum, sight unseen, and healthy pups were delivered.
IT IS a good idea to do your homework with references.  That also goes for European imports, not just
North America.
But don't throw all breeders into one bag, please  : )
