Duke, lol, was getting that way, lol.
Disagree/agree button was not anonymous Ruger, if you hovered over each one it showed the the names of members clicking on it.

If there is to be a dislike or disagree button, I think it will tend to throttle the free and easy conversing tone here. Which I enjoy. I really appreciate the freedom and not being under constant social pressure here on the PDB too, as to what I want to say.
With a disagree button, and knowing you might get dissed, people might tend to overthink or stress over what they post...maybe even if only subconsciously. They might tend not to go out on the edge or a limb in order to provide food for thought. Or leave all together. And, it will really make some posters feel bad if their comment is disliked. It just creates negative stress all around. And for what? If someone disagrees with something, just post why. Not just a “fast food” disagree button.
People for whom English is a second language (or third, forth or fifth - not uncommon), I think, if you can read this forum, then you have enough English to answer. Or, just post a thumbs up. On the flip side, if you are not the best in English, then you are running a higher risk of getting a dislike if it is hard to put your thoughts into the right English words.
If more folks elect to have a button, then I agree with GSD Admin, and only a ‘like’ button might be the way to go. But I prefer to keep the forum as it is.
I don’t think more people will post if there are buttons ...than already do, or don’t, now.

I disagree with Jesse on quite a few of her premises because my experiences are not hers and there is no way she can predict why anyone actually does anything. Still a bit wet behind the ears, here, so the free and easy speech thing ... probably does feel real to her.
