Ninja writes:  You sure changed my mind! Not

The point is that the Republican party constantly harps on Family Values and morality.  CONSTANTLY.  "Conservative Moral Values" - what hyprocrites! Democrats have tried to have support for unwed mothers and been soundly criticized by Republicans.  Now the VP candidate has a pregnant teenager at home (guess like Bill Clinton that girl can't keep her panties on.  Next time you criticize Bill Clinton, criticize her).

Democrats have supported rights for gays while Republican supporters have traditionally been anti-gay.  Palin wants a Constitutional amdment banning gay marriage.  While bashing gays, here's a small sampling of what PROMINENT Republicans are doing: Cheney's kid has a kid with her lesbian lover (so do the Cheneys & their daughter & grandchild support Palin?); the GOP also has a Congressman who has gay sex in airport bathrooms (Larry Craig - Republican from Idaho) and another who chases boy (YOUNG BOY) pages in Congress (Mark Foley - Republican from Florida).

And there's old Rush Limbaugh.  Drug-using, lying, hypocrite, prescription-faking Rush?  Here's Rush on people who use drugs: "And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up...too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff...The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too."  More talking, more typical Republican lies & hypocrisy.

The Democrats have Bill Clinton's & John Edwards' extramarital affairs - small potatoes compared to the sordidness of Republican office-holders and people like Limbaugh.

Reagan?  Divorced.  McCain?  Divorced.  Plus dumped his wife once she became disfigured in an accident.

Clintons?  Stayed married.  Worked through awful problems but obviously believed in the sacrament of marriage.  Biden?  Widowed and then remarried.  No wife dumping.  Obviously  believes in the sanctity of marriage.  Obamas?  Married.

The record is proven and clear:  Dems fail like all humans fail.  Then they work it out and WALK THE WALK.

The Republicans?  Cheating, bailing, dumping, cut & run, pure-D HYPROCRITES.  They TALK THE TALK, but DON'T walk the walk.  I'm sick of what the Republican Party has become and no longer will vote them into office.

Does she own a German Shepherd?

The woman has B****! A good choice for Mc Cain. Her daughter is pregnant, so... how many other families in America has this happened to? How many on this board have had daughters go thru the same thing? How many women have had children before getting married?  This is the way of the world now, and it happens to the rich and the poor.  Democrat and Republican.

She just had a baby a few months born with Down's Syndrome, are people going to make fun of her also? She had the guts to face this and not kill her baby because it has a PROBLEM!! Her eldest son is going to Iraq on Sept 11th, more jokes and comments? I HOPE NOT!!

Actually in parts of Texas we have very high teenage pregency rates and it is a big problem.  I think the Dems should be careful making too much hay out of this as they are basically insulting literally hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Leave the kids alone!

DesertRangers, Obama made no "hay" out of this.  When asked he said he would not discuss it as families are off limits.

Very, very funny how now all the Republicans are supportive of unwed mothers.  So understanding, so nice, so supportive.  You all did an about-face really fast.  I'm very glad to see all these Republicans finally come around to the Democratic viewpoint, which has always been yes, these things happen, so instead of preaching against it, let's deal with the fact that it's here.  You're all becoming Democrats and it's great.

I agree that many families have this issue.  Which is my point.  I'm saying that now Repulicans need to SHUT UP about the morals of everybody else and look to their own.  No more moralizing about sex outside of marriage.  No more garbage about bringing ethics & morality back to the White House.  It all falls very, very flat when you look at who's talking.

So now what? a shotgun wedding in the White House?  Good job, GOP.  Way to raise standards.

But again, glad to see the Republican party in some things (i.e., accepting of reality) switching over to the long-time Democratic Party viewpoint.  It's about time.  With pregnant teens and lesbian couples in the last 2 REPUBLICAN Veep families, y'all  better start being a little more accepting of the world around you, in that sex between 2 consenting adults IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

TessJ10 the Democrats have far more than just the Clinton and Edwards affairs.

And lets not forget the absolute brutal treatment of Elizabeth Edwards by the Democratic party going so far as calling her complicit in covering up her husband's affair -- this to a woman who chose to keep the matter private and is battling incurable cancer.  And Hillary Clinton was any different?

You're kidding yourself if you think Hillary stayed with Bill for anything but political reasons.

DesertRangers:  YahooNews says the Chelsea Clinton joke really happened (Chelsea was just shy of 18 at the time) as well as McCain's jokes about rape being funny and many more.  There are a lot of confirmations for the Chelsea Clinton "joke," I'm just listing YahooNews as one.

Do you guys really think it make 1 bit of difference who wins as to how the rest of the world will view America and it's Foreign Policies?.

IMHO Religion is biggest cause of hatred and wars in the world and Politics is a close second to that.

In previous elections voters decided which way to vote based on moral values, according to the exit polls, and there's no reason to think Americans have forgotten about them already. This catchall category covers a variety of issues, but it's fairly clear where the parties stand on each. Approving judicial nominations might be seen as part of this category as well. Republicans generally favor originalist judges who understand that their role is to interpret laws and lower court decisions according to the Constitution. The Left favors activist judges who will use their power to change laws and create new interpretations of the Constitution. The Democrats generally tolerate abortion for the sake of convenience, are willing to change the traditional definition of marriage to accommodate fringe groups and support the ACLU's campaign to strip religion from public life. Allowing them to take control of Congress would see more legislation designed to undermine traditional American values.

The policies and values espoused by the Democratic party are antithetical to those held by most Americans, and detrimental to the country as a whole. They hope, by relentless complaining and endless misrepresentation, to convince the majority of voters to put them into office. But simply telling us that they'll make everything okay, without offering specifics, isn't good enough. If the Democrats harbor some secret agenda that they think will be better for the country, let them put their cards on the table, instead of blackmailing us into giving them power before they reveal their plans. Unless their ideas are radically different from those they foisted on us in the nineties, Democrats in power would simply lead us in a circle, like mules at a mill. America would end up with a weaker military and a stuttering economy...and still embroiled in a global war against an implacable foe.

Hope this post serves you well in the future

I don't like McCain and do not keep up with all the news about him. He should have not made the joke and the media should not have published it in my opinion since the only person really hurt was Chelsia.

I Like Obama even less and when I referenced Made Hay I am speaking of the mainstream media part of the dem party.

Strange how anyone would thing the dems are without their vices, they have a huge dirty laundry list that I could spend hours documenting but will not waste my time to do so.

The problem in America is that so many people do not want to take responsability for their own mistakes, they want the taxpayer to foot the bill for their poor decisions.  Families do not even take care of each other.

One thing that I have discovered while living in South Texas is that the Hispanic Culture gives alot of respect to their families and to their elders. The Valley area has the highest longevity rate in the nation and part of the reasons given is that their elderly are not sent to retirement or nursing homes but live with their families and not only that - they have a place of honor and respect in the home. True they have  faults but just giving an example.

The recent Mormon problem in Eldarado Texas also revealed the men who claimed to have multipe wives actually were not married to any of them. Each woman signed up as a single mom for welfare for herself and all her kids resulting in millions of taxpayer dollars being obtained.

I am neither dem or rep but an independent just so you know..

RPK.........GOOD ANSWER!!

Why post Political or Religious  views on a GERMAN SHEPHERD DATABASE? Does anyone out there have their dogs running for an office? I know that these dogs are smart, and would probably do a hell of a better job, but  I THINK NOT!

Politics and Religion has nothing to do with the Pedigree Data Base.

OLI... PLEASE.. do not pull the plug on this German Shepherd DATABASE!!
