Silbersee, I don't have all my old pedigrees at work with me, but I do know that progeny of dogs like

and
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/181.html
produced solid blacks with a white "medallion" on their chests. Note, not a white patch - I've seen blacks passed off as "solid blacks" with a big white blotch/patch/thing on their chests

Thats a fine looking specimen.
Looks very much like the last stud I used. Almost identical mark.

I have a website I visit just looking around ya know. They advertise the best in working blacks.
In a picture of one of their famous solid blacks you can see the white spot they attemped to hide with photoshop.
Shoe polish would have done a better job.
