and how many of you use gasoline?

very sad about the gulf, but there is risk in everything.....accept it.

What happens when China, Veit Nam or the others have spill events - they are just off the Florida coast line......do you think they will do anything to clean up the mess, that will be heading our way? At least BP is taking responsibility for the spill and doing their best to do something about it.

as far as right wing vs left wing..... is read and see the bias of both, do you?

Sitasmom, I see the left-right and corporate propaganda better than you do. You have bought BP's Bullshit hook line and sinker. Tell the thousands of people who have lost their jobs and will lose their jobs in the next few months accept it.

by SitasMom on 06 May 2010 - 14:05

there will be even more people loosing their jobs because of the pending ban on drilling. we will all end up paying more for gas and we will be even more dependent on imported oil. higher gas prices will also put thousands more out of jobs.
there is no wining is there.

Trace - how conceited of you to say that you see something better the me or anyone else, you may see it differently but better, come one now!

what do you drive and how many miles a year?

by beetree on 06 May 2010 - 14:05

The fact anyone driving a car today is to blame is too damn stupid.

It's a shame anyone should have to do a Google search,
I hate Google,
wait and see what kinda shit Google pulls one day.

It's also a shame what has happened to the News industry.
The Taipan publishing group?
This is not news, it is spin, experts for hire.

Politics?   Don't even bother with the political shit, that was old news fifty years ago.

The fact is that oil does not belong in the sea and this was destined to happen from the beginning, it's been happening since the very first well was drilled, and it will happen again.
You can't undo the damage, no amount of money will make it all better, and some of what we will lose cannot be replaced.

How many people on this board that are pointing fingers are living Petroleum free right now?
No one would ever voluntarily do without would they, especially in this disposable plastic world we live in.

Mother nature can bounce back, sorta, but not if we kill her.
A dog does all right with only three legs, but how many legs can it afford to lose and still be able to survive.

Fact is, no matter what happens from this point forward it's a done deal, no going back.
Doesn't matter who's to blame, we're all to blame.
What matters is how we go forward.

Now I have become death, the destroyer of worlds,  Oppenheimer took too much upon himself.
We all have a turn with the knife each in our own way.   If only just by turning away, blood still flows.

Argue all you like, just don't forget to mourn.

Hi Trace -- I haven't seen you post here for awhile -- MIA for the month of April.   I hope you haven't been sick and are doing OK.   Have a great day.

Mags, I'm fine just took a vacation from the board. My new pup has kept me busy. She is something special.

Sitasmom. It's not conceit when it's true. I'm sure those members that have been on this board long enough remember all of your right wing political bullshit. Granted, you haven't posted much political crap lately. But, please pull your head out of BP's butt. Keep your political shit to yourself.

by SitasMom on 07 May 2010 - 00:05

this whole thread is highly political

by beetree on 07 May 2010 - 11:05

This thread is about the current event, the Gulf Oil Spill and the responsible party. It is about energy and what America and the world will tolerate to get it. It is also as Moons said, about a place to mourn.

"Box" being lowered over leak.  Hope it works!  If not, we're all in more trouble than we can even imagine.
