Hi,

someone brought a female to breed some month ago, the owner said she would not get a tie, I put on the glove and was only able to get as far as 2 in -/+ and came up on a block. We took her to my Vet, he's conclution was the female was deformed the spine bone was hindering from getting her breed. option  would be to get her breed artificially and have the puppies borne per surgery , this is hereditary so I suggested not to breed.

The best way to know if "she" really is ready, is with a progesterone test.  Some females are floozies and stand most of the year  or at least early in their heat.

Not all males are accurate enough to only breed when they have ovulated or the eggs are ripe.

Just a thought............

Sometimes the good Lord works in mysterious ways.  I am not the most religious person in the world, since I fell from being an angel, but I believe things happen for a reason and we should sometimes let nature take it's course.

I wanted to add that a co-worker and his wife tried to have kids for quite some time.  After numerous tries, They decided to get assistance from a Fert. Dr.   They concieved a set of twin girls.  Both had numerous complications and the one nearly died.  They will never live a normal life.  The one will probably live a very short life and the other will be dependent for the rest of hers.

I'm not saying that some devine being did this to spite, but sometimes we shouldn't mess with nature.  Besides, there really isn't a shortage of puppies or breeders.  How badly does the world need another breeding?  I know, I know.  You have the best dogs in the world and everyone must have one.  Me too!

Glad to hear they know what they are doing!  I usually like to calm girls, like yourself, with a bottle of nice merlot.
