Chicki

I really do not know what threads you have been reading to come to the conclusions that you have,

We are just one big happy family, and like brothers and sisters we quarrel and make up

Welcome

Steve

Welcome, chicki, I enjoyed your bio, too! It reminded me a bit of myself, when I was young, growing up in a mostly petless home, (I mean does a guinea pig count?). I scrimped and saved my babysitting money (at 75 cents to $1.00/hr) at age 12, so I could pay for riding lessons. I presented my folks with my $100 dollar savings, at which point they couldn't say NO! And then for my sweet sixteen birthday party, (supposed to be a surprise) my best girlfriend ask me what I wanted and I said, A PUPPY! But DO NOT ask my parents, they'll just say NO. ... but I knew if she just showed up with one, they wouldn't have the heart to say NO.

And sure enough, it worked! To this day, we all have dogs, and cats, and can't imagine life without them.

So many kids these days in the US, don't know how to work for what they want, (my own included!), we give them so much, for little effort and it is hard for them to appreciate their own efforts to persevere in the face of adversity.

GORGEOUS HORSES, and I would love to see a picture of your showline pup with your horses on your farm!

Happy Holidays to you!

When so many thousands of people find their ways to this list, we're bound to get a few maladjusted nut jobs. The good news is considering the number of people on this board every day, that number isn't really too high. The bad news is that those few are often the most prolific posters, at least for awhile, till they get bored and find someplace else to spread their squaller. Most do move on eventually, but the bad taste they give newcomers is unfortunate. There's a lot of good info here. The beauty of this board is that you can find answers to just about any question on this board in very short order just by asking. Sometimes we have to sift through some junk to get to the good stuff, and I do find myself hitting the "Back" button fairly often instead of scrolling down, but its like "home" to a lot of us, even though we may never meet in person.

The holiday season brings out the best and the worst in populations world-wide. Fortunately the vast majority of the population on this board fits in the first category.

BTW- I did e-mail Oli just now to ask if there is some cyber-miracle I would never understand that he can perform to get rid of our latest sick-o. I have a happy announcement I would like to psot but I think I'll wait a bit because I don't want the thread mutilated.

This board is simply One, big, happy,  dysfunctional family.

Welcome and wear your thick skin suit. Youll be fine..

Just give what you take.   That works for me, though Im working on a 'kindler, gentler' ugly.   Havent had an argument in at least a week or two. Got a streak going it seems.  See how long it lasts.

Its still a good thing Ugly...

Have you made out your shopping list yet?
