Blue and Livers are no different then a traditionally colored German Shepherds. They are in fact purebred GSDs, and often are born in a litter with traditionally colored littermates. Recessive genes are in the pedigrees just because its something (certain people) can't understand doesn't make it wrong. They are fully registerable. The only limited thing is they can't compete in conformation ring is to exhibit a dog who most closely meets the breed standard (that is fine, I understand that) but don't say these dogs are serious faults. You know what I consider a fault people who are so absorbed in traditional ways that have nothing to do with what makes a good German Shepherd and are actually ruining the breed to try and go for perfection.

The only thing you can fault me for is color. . . Someday I hope this will change the white German Shepherds went through the same thing and still do with being considered faulty I can just see it now how many of you that can't get over a fault as simple as color will have smoke coming out your ears.

I don't mind - in your country you are free to do whatever you want. Why not breed for curly tails, floppy ears and oversize, too? After all it's in the genes...

Would be considered just as faulty of a dog as my livers. Weird

Britny: If you are talking about your love for the breed and excellence, you are on the wrong tract.
