Besides your normal illiterate crap posts from your trailer trash mouth, you know absolutely nothing about how I funded my rescue. For what it is worth, I NEVER once took money from anyone to take a dog they were dumping. Instead, I essentially funded the work out of my own pocket, when I had a job, and while I had a job. Some years I spent thousands and thousands of dollars. I never asked for donations either, and in 16 years of doing rescue, perhaps had a total of $4000 given to me for food or medical care for a dog when someone offered. Without even calculating the cost for food and routine vet care, without counting a second of my time, I can think of TWO surgeries I paid for for seriously injured dogs that more than totaled that $4,000 donations over 16 years. I don't know where you get off thinking rescues make money on dogs, nor do I know of anyone who does make money on rescue. Do they exist? Perhaps, but maybe you ought to go see your kid in jail (again) and worry about how you failed there, rather than talk to me about allegedly having made money on GSD rescue. Or go spend more money on your drugs....I could care less what you do.
I do not care who has dogs or what kind of dogs they are as long as people don't make claims they are not entitled to make. Shilohs are not a recognized breed and probably never will be. That is fine, but don't bring people here claiming they are something they are not.
As for Psycht, she is so far above all of you in what she has done in knowledge and skills that she puts people like you to shame. Only you are too stupid to know better.

Like I said, I am looking at this from the outside and being a linear thinker, I have some trouble wrapping my head around all of this hence my questions. I would also note that Ms. Barber started this thread and all the people who believe that she should be left alone perhaps could privately suggest that if she does not want to feel the heat of negative commentary perhaps she should cease starting threads regarding her breeding program on a board known to be antagonistic to her breeding program. Just a thought.

I posted here for YOUR benefit -- foolishly assuming that some of you might be a little bit concerned about this situation, but I guess you don't care WHO you breed to, nor under what "kennel" name those pups are sold -- therefor I must assume that most of you are NOT serious responsible breeders, nor members in good standing with the GSDCA, Inc. ...... pity!
I WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO READING SOME EDUCATED POSTS!! MAYBE SOMEDAY?? SOMEONE HERE WILL UNDERSTAND -- SOMETHING?????

There were some breeders who didn't like what was happening. Many of them either quit breeding or started breeding the German dogs.
Tina developed her own breeding program, focusing on good hips, good temperment, large size and carefully kept records of each litter. These dogs were AKC registered GSDs, bred under the Shiloh kennel name.
By 1990, she realized that if she wanted to keep her dogs from becoming overangulated undersized spooks, she was going to have to break with the German Shepherd breed. She outcrossed to a carefully selected GSD-malemute cross, and this was the start of the Shiloh Shepherd as a separate breed.
I know how little love most of you have for the American version of the GSD. Some of you call it the A.S.S., and say it should be a different breed.
Yet, here you are, flaming someone who feels exactly as you do, and DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Isn't this just a little hypocritical??
Shilohs are NOT GSDs and have not been GSDs for over 20 years.
Shouldn't you be concerened about people crossing them with AKC registered GSDs and calling them Shilohs?
There was a recent thread on the GSD side of the board where a poster was insisting her Shiloh WAS A GDS! As a matter of fact, it was registered as a GSD with the Continental Kennel Club and the UKC (if I'm remembering correctly). Unfortunately the thread was deleted, so I can't check.

That's what happens when you cross a Shiloh with a soft temperment with a GSD. You get a fear biter, a dog that will bite without warning.
I have been a member of the Shiloh forums for 4 years now, and in all that time have NEVER heard of REAL ISSR Shiloh biting someone!
The ones I knew and know have poor health, shy/nervous/reactive temperaments, ZERO drive for working - allergies, are short-lived and MOST are not even big and impressive-looking.
Here's Nero, the father of my ISSR Shiloh puppy. He's 31 inches, and 130 lbs. There is NOTHING shy or nervous about this dog, and he has no health problems or allergies!

Of course, if you cross a real ISSR Shiloh with an American GSD, which is EXACTLY what the non-ISSR breeders are doing, you are going to get a smaller, weedy-looking dog that looks like an American GSD!

WHO CARES??? No one, other than you and your groupies. So, group already and rant somewhere to someone who cares. Most here, clearly do NOT care that someone "else" is marketing some canine mastodons as shiloh shepherds. I fully understand that you care about the use of "your kennel name." And, as the song says, "that's what it's all about. " Got that from the outset. Thank you. 'Bye.
