4pack

Jeffrey you have to be one if the nicest people on the board who owns such high profile animals. I love your posts as they are infomative and sweet at the same time. Your story at the top of the thread was touching. It's always nice to hear about succesfull dogs going to super people and nice places. It is awesome that you more than kept your word to Bazi's former owner and went above and beyond keeping him in Germany, to compete once again and then twice. It's easy to feel the love and respect you hold for the dogs and thats' so rare these days.

Good luck to you and all of your fantastic dogs!

Jeffrey, your Bazi is absolutely stunning! And as everyone else has said, it is so nice to read your posts...no 'agenda', just pure love of the breed & your dogs! I wish you, Bazi & your other dogs all the sucess in the world, you deserve it! Putting your dogs first is not often heard of these days, and it is indeed very refreshing! Best wishes, jackie harris (osborne)

Hi Jeffrey,

well we got to see Bazi in Braunschweig, but I forgot to take your mobile phone number with me, so we didnt get to have that beer after all!

Bazi did super work and he was most impressive in all phases. We were cheering for him to go up even higher on Sunday, I thought he could easily have been moved up. If I was judging, he would have been . In fact, I predicted him to be a high V before the show, so I was pleased to see it happen.

He looked beautiful, strong and masculine and he moves with great power.

Congrats on your wonderful placing. Onwards to 2008!

Best regards,

Bazi's Australian fanclub,

Kim

Hello everybody,

Bazi is staying here in Hagen, Germany with me. I am really happy that so many people like him as much as I do. Thinking about his career I have to say we are very proud on him. And of course on Jeffrey his new owner. In the time me and Bazi know Jeffrey we had always a briliant conversation. Whatever we decided to do with Bazi we were able to discuss it with Jeffrey (in this case I can say he became a very good friend to us). I believe that he (Jeffrey) loves all his dogs and expecially Bazi. And that is the reason why I know how hard the decission has been to leave Bazi another year here in Germany. He did it just for the dog and I will never forget that.

I heard about so many people who sold a dog and it has been very dissapointing for the dog and the previous owner. So, we can be glad to have such a good friend and we can hope that we will be able to satisfy Jeffrey an everybody else in the future.

I can just say, Bazi and me will do our best!!!

I am really happy that Martina (Ertha56) checked in above. She is the main reason that I leave Bazi in Germany.

She is the Best !!

Not only is she devoted and loves Bazi but it makes you want to cry when you see how much Bazi loves Martina.

I am convinved that the only way that Bazi can successfully compete and reach his full potential at the top level of German Dog Sport in Germany is with Martina as a team.

We are all on a mission together and they are great partners !!

Jeffrey

Julia...I am travelling in China now but once I return to Taipei I will send you some recent photos of Chroko. He is still a very handsome Dog !

Louise...I hope I can make it to San Jose for the USA Sieger Show 2008.

By the way..Louise ...you are much too humble. Your achievements are a lot greater than mine in the world of GSD's. I have read many of your posts and you have more knowledge of GSD in one finger than most of us have collectively (Abhay being the exception). I respect your knowledge which has obviously come from many years of hardcore experience. I admire  and respect that greatly. Please keep up the great work and I  hope you will continue to share your knowledge as you have so unselfishly  been doing for many more years to come.

Jeffrey

Thanks to everyone else for all your kind comments !

Jeffrey

Jeffery & Martina,

As others have said it’s so refreshing to hear from people of a high placed dog to be so open, humble & obviously caring about their charge. You can tell the dog is loved for what it is rather than what it can do for them. You should rightly be proud & more power to you both.

I'm still no great expert at critiquing dogs but I whole heartily agree with Louise, Bazi just looks so balanced. There doesn’t appear to be an excess of anything.

I  also have a Yasko (& Esko) grandson who has a similar, but not so excellent, balance to him along with that distinctive ‘light’ head & deep pigmentation. Although just a pet, I can also see eager drives when playing with tug & ball. He also has a wonderful self contained strength & confidence in all he does which set me thinking, where do you think Bazi gets his fine working ability from? Yasko or other parts of his pedigree?

A&A

Wow ! what a great picture of your Dog. He looks great. It's a shame you have not trained and showed him. he looks really good in my opinion. However, there is nothing wrong with just being a  great "Pet" as that is a higher goal than some give it credit for. Not everyone has the time or inclination to train and show yet it is still a "blessing" to be in the company of a worthy specimen of the breed.

As far as your question goes I know that I have a Hoss Larchenhain son that is a great worker. Almost as good as Bazi so I think something comes from this side. I never saw Yasko work but I did see him up close a few times and he had a undenialble strong spirit and enery that I am sure that gets passed on to many of his progeny. However, I am not sure how he did under the pressure and stress of actual SCH so I cannot really fairly comment on what he passed on.

Actually, I think Bazi got some of his working ability from his Father's side as well as the Urbeck females as many of the Urbecke dogs are good workers

However, no one knows for sure so I suppose your guess is as good as mine.

Good Luck to you and your Dog

Jeffrey
