Pillpusher, I think you would have gotten a more positive response if you would have worded your post in a more neutral tone, perhaps something like "Anyone know the owner of Mittlewest?  I've had no luck contacting them..."  or even an inquiry such as, "Has anyone done business with Mittlewest kennels and would be willing to share their experience, good or bad?"  Besides, you never know what breeders might be going through at the time you try to contact them... could have been a death in the family, serious illness, divorce, etc ad nauseum. 

If you lurk on this site long enough you'll see how quickly some of these post can turn sour.  Indeed, I cannot recommend you to search my own posts as an example of "playing nice with others" as I have also stepped on people's toes from time to time.  Especially as a newbie, you've got to be real "political" in how you word your posts.  Again, do not use me as a role model.  LOL

Take your licks, learn from the experience, and move on.  No use getting all jacked up over it.  There's nothing for it.

  I have never heard any complaints with Julie, or her contracts. I live in her neck of the woods!!   Okay..  so.. that  makes  things  golden.... kinda like  the  " he was a quiet  tenent,  paid his rent on time.. but  i didnt know that he  do such things like that"

If she is not training, she is showing her dogs. What is coming up this week-end? Oh yes , a DOG SHOW in Kentucky!!

REAAAAlly...  since i don't  compete  or  show  dogs  ..  i guess that  I am just ignorant  to the things that dog breeders/handles do.. like in the morning  excerise the dog?  maybe  kennel cleaning?    or   grooming?    But  travelling  on a weekend to and from a show?  that is unheard of.       I guess  there was a reason why my phonecalls were mid week,    later  afternoon  and   just on the  off chance that  there was three time zones I better  call  a decent  hour.        So   this  sunday...  3 am pacific standard time..   so that would be about 6 am   central...  you think she will answer the phone then?

He's back.  Yep, Mr. MPD, super-spoofer is back.  Same MO as always.  Target a big kennel like Videx with insults and provoke others to be upsety.  Goal of Mr. MPD, stay sick and capture others minds. Attack anyone who responds rationally by insulting them, threatening them or making demeaning remarks.  This man sometimes even generates spoof attacks on himself as cover, but it doesn't fool me.  This man has been kicked off a number of other GSD related sites, buys and imports dogs and doesn't pay for them, sells dogs and doesn't deliver papers, and has complaints on him posted publicly on the web. The man has a history of making terroristic threats to other posters and comes off as a cyber stalker.  Exceedingly sick individual most likely. This is what happens when there is no validation by name and address for posters (their e-mail addess and name could still be kept confidential by Oli).  When you review many of these provocative posts made intermittently with the usuakl two plus mongth gaps during "duty assignments" over the last few years under many wierd "call names", you quickly see that they are all from the same person.  Oh and as to the charge of "cherry picking".  If that is true that is a good practice.  Why shouldn't any top ranked kennel, or any kennel for that matter,  want to select the best homes for their dogs that they are selling after they obtain screening info?  By the way, I bought a nice bitch from Julie years ago and was very happy in every way with what I got for the money and how I was treated. I did receive all the papers as promised, and on time.

Questioning someone's honor over an unsuccessful attempt to contact is rather extreme, don't you think?  You really were not fair in the way you  titled this post   ..    purhaps... oh  i am sorry.. perhaps,  my choice in verbage was  wrong.  Given the brow beating  that has been given..i am sure that I could have selected a number of more PC  terms  and still got the flaming that has been given.   Yet  honourable  vs reputable.. its the same thing  is it not?  Above all.. it was a question,  not  an attempt  an insurrection or  condemination.  A question  for  clarafication.

all that will remain in a lot of peoples mind is that somewhere, at some time they saw or read something negative about the kennel.

Apparently pillpusher only reads what he wants to argue about....crhuerta clearly stated they knew for a fact Julie was showing in KY- and he didn't respond to that at all.  And if you did your homework, you'd see there have been a number of shows in the midwest the last few weeks.

I've trained a number of Julies dogs, I have yet to have a single client complain to me about her...unlike quite a few other local breeders/importers.

All I see in this thread is a lot gibberish and someone who is obviously bored. If you put the time into contacting a breeder that you put into arguing with strangers over the internet, you'd probably have a dog by now.
