LOL snarky is a great word!!! I haven't heard it in awhile either, thanks for the reminder... I'm going to make it a point to use it in the near future ;-)

I don't think it is Raymond, personally who is Duval, he has always been pretty nice to me.

Lavk-9, that is a very nice looking pit bull

Thanks Stacy..I will let my friend know you said that. She loves her dogs.I think she has about 7 and some awesome Quarter Horses. All the animals get along.I have to find the one pic of her other Pit.It warnerd her of a rattle snake that was on the path they were hiking. She lives here in AZ about an hour from me. All her dogs are well mannered and all are Pit or of some Pit mix. They are the most spoiled dogs.lol

....And Quarter Horses too!? She is so lucky :-) Someday I will have another horse or two. I had an Arab a LONG time ago and he was my heart. A typical flighty Arab, but he had a heart of gold. He always stuck his nose in my face to make sure I was okay after he dumped me on my butt LOL

It's funny you mentioned the rattlesnakes. A few years ago we had an infestation of rattlers at my house in Tx.  That summer we had a few dogs get bitten. That was also the summer I became an even better shot lol. I think they (the snakes) liked the warmth of the concrete floors at night in the kennels-just a theory, and the pit bulls were always the ones who got bitten :-(
Luckily we never lost any from a rattlesnake bite. Their heads just blew up like basketballs!
Then the next year it was copperheads.  Gotta love the country ;-)

I have not commented on this thread or have i read  many of the posts but the first one was a great shame for it to happen, No one will ever get to the truth of it
However here is a bite of a G.S Dog on the arm of this Guy holding my Pup Izzy
take no notice of the cut showing up look at the white scar tissue on the forearm The Dog jumped at him bit through his coat the bite opened the arm up to the bone like a flap very little blood at all.
The wound took 14 sticthes to repair and a Drain put in and daily attention and dressing changes by a nurse who came and dressed it every day for a month
No warning from the Dog which was in a sit postition at the time it bit and went back into a sit postition no growl no sound at all and no warning, so all you experts what caused that and you do not need to mention fancy names or phases
All the Guy said to us standing close by was he has had me and i think it is bad we had all been talking together at the time, I took the Dog back to its box and it acted as normal as could be, then and afterwards

Matt,

I'm not a kid , just to clear the airways.  And yes pits are the number one dog to track, catch and tack a hog down. Most of the people on this thread are Yankee's and prolly sit at home all winter long posting IGNORANT  stuff on this website. Instead of having a open mind,  You past judgement on anyone that is new.. FORGIVE me on not getting to this site earleir in my years, but GOOGLE it and read the facts of hog hunting..

HOGZILLA, that whole show had pits running hogs down and baiting them up. HAS ANYONE EVER GONE HOG HUNTING??

O Ya, My female GSD rabbit hunts and has KILLED over 200+ rabbits......

by Abhay on 12 March 2010 - 14:03

Hey Duval, didn't your local feed store wonder, after you bought the first 50 bunnies?

by DuvalGSD on 12 March 2010 - 14:03

Ummm no.. I live in a city to were there are wooded places to hunt wild aminals,  I guess you would have known that be now...

by Abhay on 12 March 2010 - 14:03

Damn Bro, get that rabbit killing on youtube.  Never seen a GSD, or a Pit, that could cut with any rabbit. They can hang on a straight run, but when the rabbit cuts and turns full speed, the dog goes right by.

Truth to your post........

She started by killing my neighbors rabbits when they got under our fence. And one day going toone of the parks here in town, I took her to the field to play fetch and she ran off and bagged her a wild rabbit.. So ever since then, we've always taken her hunting with us. and she always gets one or two.. Hell she's treed racoons and bagged possums..

I've taken the male  hog hunting and he's to big and goofy for rabbit hunting, they'd own his ars any and always when it comes to rabbits....
