Just curious as to what the people here that know the Pit breed and bullys think of or know of this place. My friend was thinking about getting a pup from here(someone mentioned t to him) but they are selling it for $4000!! That is WAY too rich for my friends blood....way to much in my eyes all together. Also to me they look like a variation of Pit and Staff/bulldog.

Garbage dogs bred by garbage people.

by Abhay on 11 March 2010 - 02:03

Typical Bully bred garbage. A weak, weak  scatterbred, pedigree containing Staffs, very questionable Pits, and so many empty, and unknown blanks, that for a knowledgable person it's a complete farce and joke. Several of their males based of this physical reject.

Freaks like these are bred for looks alone. When you go to a supposed APBT Site, and they are bragging on head size and weight of year old pups, you know you have hit Peddler Paradise.

If you go to a Real APBT Site, the peds will be posted and displayed proudly. The Bullshit sites never display peds. They wouldn't understand a ped themselves.

If your friend wants a Real Pit Bull, try a Kennel like this. Click on the pics, and you can see the ped.

There are some top APBT Kennels in Texas. Anytime one can get a dog down from the Legends, BANJO and BB RED, jump as fast as you can. There is a kennel who owns Grand Champion RICHARD RAMIREZ, who is just such a dog. I have heard rumors that puppies out of this blood will be available this summer.

I also know of a very nice litter on the ground now, out of an excellent FRISCO male and a Super RED BOY bitch.

Thanks for the info.I am going to forward that link to my friend.I figured as much from the way the site looked. When he told me about it before I saw the site red flags went up.I called a friend that I know knows bull breeds too and he explained things to him but I wanted more confirmation.Hard to get things through my friends head without spliting it open.lol

Sorry, Abhay, but I see why people poke fun at them for being inbred...One of the pedigrees on that site you linked at the bottom of the post, Evolution, has a dog that has three of it's grandparents (if I recall correctly), that are siblings...Not half, but full siblings.

Not my cup of tea, though I understand it...There's a town not far from where I live that is always picked on for incest. I don't know that there's any truth to the rumors, but there is a saying that in that town, your brother is your father and grandfather...Never figured it out, but somehow those pedigrees remind me of that town...

I think I'll stick with GSD....They are more my kind of dogs.

Crys, no offense, but if you understood it, you wouldn't speak of it as incest, and with such disgust.
Canines are NOT Humans.  I always find it comical, when people bristle up at the thought of inbreeding and linebreeding dogs. These people just can't get by the human incest thing.
The Fact is, in the proper hands, inbreeding and line breeding are excellent ways of helping a breed.  In the wrong hands, they make for the deterioration of a breed.  The purpose of both is to bring about breed improvement and to upgrade the stock.  They make for the elimination of recessive faults and bring about purification of a strain, if properly done.  Hence the importance of knowledge regarding pedigrees, and the dogs one is working with.

The Great breeder, Dr. Leon F Whitney, covers line breeding and inbreeding in his books.
Dr. Whitney was not a GSD breeder persay, but he was a dog man par excellance. His linebred White Isle strain of working Bloodhounds were second to none. Dr. Whitney was a breeder of many breeds, primarily Bloodhounds, but also a notable Cocker Spaniel breeder in his day. He bred some Airedales, Foxhounds, Setters and many other types of dogs. He also bred a lot of crosses to establish whether a host of traits were either dominant or recessive in nature. Much of what he wrote is over the head of most dogmen (myself included). However, with concentrated effort and repeated study, one can begin to understand much of the great principles taught by this master breeder. One will walk away from reading Dr. Whitney's material with the sense that there is much more to breeding than simply sticking a good dog to a good bitch, with no regard for compatibility of traits or bloodline.

My BOOM BOOM MANCINI, was the perfect APBT. He was friendly to a fault with humans. Specially gentle with babies and young children. He even liked bitches. He was all Bulldog. His pic and ped are below.

Bump

I think this topic needs to be talked about more in depth.  I think opinions are changing by the minute.  I can't wait to see how it all turns out.  I am excited to see everyone on the same page when it's done!!!  Yes, I can see it now, all holding hands and hugging.  As for me, I would love to add to this topic, but I have to suit up to put my Dobie in for the night, you know how they turn on their masters.

by Abhay on 11 March 2010 - 04:03

Don't be too hard on him olskoolgsds.  He can't help the way he is. It's the way his head is shaped. Puts crazy pressure on his brain! I just pray, he isn't line or inbred.  If he is, you might be a goner.

Kind, gentle, good with kids, whatever ....... I still can't get past how they look.   Not a dog that I can admire for their good looks.

by Abhay on 11 March 2010 - 05:03

Maggie, All a matter of Opinion. I know many men and women who feel APBT's are Beautiful. Jessica Biel, feels they are gorgeous. Specially hers.
