A Christian should emulate Christ. Be humble, forgiving, nonjudgemental, tolerant of others, and their feelings, and love their fellow man.
I am too weak to be a good Christian. I am the worst kind. I know the scriptures, yet I break them on a daily basis. I continue to do wrong at almost every turn. On the plus side, I love Christ more than anything, and I'm just the guy Christ died for.

Yes what has been said about the proposal that Ben Franklin submitted to the continental congress regarding official prayer before official meetings of the congress WAS NOT FORMALLY ADOPTED AND WAS NOT FORMALLY REJECTED! Actually down to this present day both houses of congress opens each and every official day of work with prayer! So from the very beginning of the foundation of our country prayer has been an integral part of our political process! If I may be so bold to ask ABHAY what makes you a Christian! Would you be ashamed to elaborate on those specific things that qualifies you as a Christian! I find conflict in your statement of being nonjudgmental! How can a Christian form an opinion without falling back upon the judgment that has been given from God! The scripture clearly instructs us to have no fellowship with the unfruitfull works of darkness! Now does that statement mean a christian is to have no friendship with homosexuals or thiefs and adulterers! If you truely consider yourself to weak to be a good christian then you are not fully trusting Jesus for your salvation! As a christian we are commanded to judge with the same as we would wish to be judged!

Raymond, it's not up to a True Christian, to be judgemental. A Christian is not to judge another, but rather to treat another, as to how one would like to be treated themselves. A True Christian, is supposed to love his neighbor, and not look for or see his neighbor's faults or sins. I said, I am too weak to be a good Christian. I am extremely judgemental, violent, and full of evil.
Christ taught, without being judgemental. Christ is about acceptance, tolerance, humility, and Love.
Christ taught,:: What goes into a man's mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth, That, is what makes him Unclean.
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor , but the sick.
Posers and "Fake Christians" spew evil and judgemental words from their vile mouths. All the while, spouting how great is their faith, and position lol.

Raymond,
If the founding fathers had been the sort of literal Biblical Christians as you profess them to be, there never would have BEEN an American Revolution, and we'd still be ruled by the Monarchy, for the Bible says:
If the founding fathers had been the sort of literal Biblical Christians as you profess them to be, there never would have BEEN an American Revolution, and we'd still be ruled by the Monarchy, for the Bible says:
1 Peter 2:13: "For the Lord's sake accept the authority of every human institution, whether of the emperor as supreme, or of governors, as sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right."I guess that also means our friend from the University is sinful and wrong for resisting the authority of the University and the APA to establish standards. For she is resisting what God has appointed.
Romans 13:1: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resist authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment."

Except for the whole fact that the Bible admonishes people for revolting against authority, as being sinful, and a revolt against God, by proxy.
Wasn't is YOU who said we shouldn't INTERPRET the Bible, we should take it at face value?
The Bible says you should not resist authority. It doesn't say anything about resisting some authority and obeying others. It says OBEY ALL AUTHORITY. England was authority. The Founding Fathers were sinning against God.
Holy FUCK! The entire country is founded upon SIN!!! OMG, WE'RE ALL GOING TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Resorting to personal insults?
How Christian of you.
I'm not allowed to look at who Peter was talking to. You told me that was a sin.
[Its not okay to look at the context when homosexuality is involved. When government rule is involved, suddenly the context is OH SO IMPORTANT, and its no longer a sin to examine it.]
