I just added another one to my "Ugly Dog" file today. His back wasn't as bad as that, but his movement!!!

Looks like the American dogs aren't the only hock-walkers out there!
I showed a friend a picture similar to this one recently, and she said, "It looks like he's trying to take a dump!"

What you forget is that.... Schutzhund Titles WERE REQUIRED to BREED a GSD decades ago.
Schutzhund later became a SPORT, Conformation show-dogs became in vogue, and we see the evolution ir downfall of the breed in large part, due to Money.
But to say that "Not everyone is interested in Schutzhund'....really is disingenuous if ONE wishes to Breed their GSD. It is a committment and ethical responsibility for the survival OF the Breed itself. Like it or not, SchH does test nerve among other things, and SchH was an excellent breed test
Tina had a valid point with the Americanized dogs. But she also saw dollar signs, marketed as such and diverged into the Twilight Zone with her Frankenstein Creation aka Shiloh Shepherd, that is really an overpriced pet dog. Thats my .02c, youre free to disagree.
The GSD should always remain a Working dog. Were it in the good hands of honest stewards of the Breed club as a whole, this would be the case.
Thankfully some Czech, DDR, Belgium and Working W German Breeders are continuing the tradition of Maxs' comittment to excellence in standard & should be complimented.

TO SUEINCC:
Your quote:
"Yes, I'm sure if you look really hard at a lot of candidates, you might be able to find one or two standout Shilohs that not only were Physically capable
of doing the work, might actually have the necessary drives....."
hey thanks for the compliment .....sueincc, my avitar is of my dog and a judge who LOVED my issr shiloh dog and had been raised with and trained MANY german shepherds in her life! . .... As a ISSR SHILOH owner I am proud.
but I can't say the same for YOU, as my dog doesn't have the HIP ISSUES
it appears, that your smaller, weaker dog seems to have!
