Echo, Um. . . Your statement to Zmeli "YOUR NOT DOING ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE BREED, YOU WILL BE THE REASON SHEPHERDS GET A BAD REPUTATION AGAIN IF YOU DON'T STOP !!!!!!! YOU NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING !!!!!! YOU NEED TO GET FURTHER EDUCATION. That's all I will ever say to you again, until you can take some responsibility and STOP your BAD behavior, and irresponsible breeding practices." AFTER reading some recent threds here you've particpated in and your breeding practices. Wouldn't your statement above be like what they say??? "The pot calling the kettle black" Just curious;\ Mel

Melody, I did not do it on purpose for shit sake. So NO not in my opinion, but maybe in others yes.

by EchoMeadows on 05 January 2007 - 05:01

oh and NO I don't ever breed anything outside or my own without the bare minimum of a brucelosis, and ofa Good or Excellent hell I don't even breed fair hips If your reffering the "accident" That's a low blow on your part in my opinion, Accidents happen I stated that to Zmeli but it's a whole nother ball game when you do shit like that on purpose.

by Melody_Gray on 05 January 2007 - 05:01

I looked at your website out of curiosty and didn' see any titles on your dogs or breed surveys done on them either. That's just as much an intergal part to good breeding practices just like a healthy dog. I think your statement to Zmeli is out of line considering that dogs being bred wihout titles. Where do you get off giving this opinion to Zmeli when you have your own issues as well? It looks like you could use a good dose of education too. Mel

Mel, I'm not gonna hash this out with every nut that comes along but here goes, we only train once or twice a week here that's just how the club is, Titles on all dogs before they are age of 8 is an accomplishment considering the club had not even had a trial for sometime until we joined. Not much motivation for titles from the club but everyone enjoys training. Demographically they are the only club within about 300 miles wo what to do ?? please do tell !! Oh wise one. Of course I could use a dose of education, at least I attempt it every day. My comment to Zmeli was more directed about the brucelosis test not being done, do you seriously beleive that it should not be done ?? If you beleive in brucella test being done before breeding then what the hell are you doing taking pot shots at me for !! Go at her not me. As far as where do I get off giving that opinion, well sweetie it is what it is, MY OPINON

by EchoMeadows on 05 January 2007 - 06:01

Oh yes and breed survey's forgot about that.... Drive about 500 miles or more for that one, Good Luck !!

by Melody_Gray on 05 January 2007 - 06:01

All dogs should be tested. I just don't see why you with your breeding practices have any room to criticize anyone. Many people are in the same spot you are in when it comes to having no place close to train. I go 170 miles one way. Still wouldn't breed my dogs without titles. One more thing...I am amazed how you are allowed to give such harsh opinions of others here but you sure like to dish them out. Mel

by EchoMeadows on 05 January 2007 - 06:01

Brucela, answer the question about brucela Melody !!! do you beleive it should be done before breeding ??? If so Leave me the HELL alone !! I am sick of getting attacked over this, This is a standard procedure test done BEFORE BREEDING ANYTHING EVER AND ALWAYS !!! What is the problem ???? I am harsh over a possible epidemic that this person has never even heard of, YES I AM !! As SHOULD YOU BE

by EchoMeadows on 05 January 2007 - 06:01

170 miles one way WOW, Ok you have just seriously impressed me, Now that takes dedication !! and time. Good Job ! I wish I had that kind of time, no not an excuse, I am not making excuses just stating a fact, But seriously that does show alot of dedication on your part !!

Echo, thanks for responding.I did not know what the history on this dog or the breeder was.DKiah has an excellent idea. The OFFA has an incredible wealth of knowledge on the subject. They have been evaluating ,researching, studying H.D. for 40 years and have done over one million hips. They are in the know. It is the OFFA's position that nothing causes hip dysplasia, it's genetic. A dog with H.D. can have their condition exasperated by exessive weight, poor physical conditioning etc. but they have found that this disease is genetic. There research is quite in depth. I place no confidence on Vets any more. This is not to say that there are not good knowledgable Vets out there but so many buy into old wives tales. I guess when it comes to issues that are so important and so easily misunderstood, I like to go to the best sources available such as the OFFA. I know others will disagree with this, but again my only information on the subject comes from them and I value their work. Thanks again for responding, I will be curious if they have something on this specific issue.
