Stunning! Best of luck with him, please continue to post pictures as he matures, I would love to see this pup progress. Do you have video of him chasing a rag or anything?

hachiko, what a gorgeous pup. from front to back. beautiful head, dark eye, nice angles front and rear, nice straight back and just a beautiful overall, confident expression. no slinking or slouching from the stacking.

As a puppy and at this age he looks very typey with beautiful confident expression, nice head and remarkable stop, strong neck, high withers and very beautiful topline, beautiful shoulder plus front development of chest so far, nice angles front and rear, strong bones and beautiful tight feet, beautiful rich pigment. If his temperament matches his anatomy then you are either smarter than Steve in picking them out or you are extremely lucky fellow. Enjoy him and take good care of him, he most probably going to be a special one. Pls note that some very experienced members praised him and that is something you should be very proud of.

It is always hard to select a puppy which will turn out to have great conformation as an adult. Sometimes a puppy's appearance is so outstanding, one can feel confident that unless something uinexpected occurs the pup should mature true to the type behind him, and that is the case with a puppy that looks and photographs like this. What is this puppy's type?
His type is similar to the typical male linebred from Visum Arminius, one of the all time great producers in the GSD breed (at the 6-6 level), only with better pigment and better croup than his typical winning offspring. Ron which is the sire of this fine looking young male Simba, looks to have great conformation and appears from his progeny photos to produce it. If he can keep producing puppies that look like this, he may turn out to be a very good producer. Most Visum progeny had good temperament and this trait should come through. Visum could occasionally produce steep croups and rump-rollup when moving, and knowledgable breed wardens knew how to breed around this possibility. This young males does not appear to have that problem.
This young male appears to have very nice angles at both ends, correct proportions, straight back with no roach, correct croup with proper slope (not too steep like so many GSDs nowdays), good bone, good feet and pasterns, great male head and male type. I would expect him to be okay coming and going from the way he appears standing. Overall, this male puppy looks very, very attractive and is going to likely mature into a very attarctive male when full grown, because that is what typically happens with these lines.
It's always nice to see this type of type with a basically open pedigree based on such powerful blood as Visum. Very smart planning by the breeder that's for sure and good knowledge of the breed. Overall this puppy looks very, very, nice and is one I would consider buying if I was in the market (and I don't like many).
