What are the ingredients in Royal Canin?

4pack

I found all of the sweet potatoe in the TOTW sent my dog crazy with yeast itch. Gunky ears, stinky, flaky skin. We are taking a break from Orijen and feeding Healthwise, chicken, rice and oatmeal. Dogs didn't seem to mind the change. I still feed very little food in relation to size of dog. 2 cups a day for all the dogs but 1, he gets 3 cups at 98lbs and he is a brick shithouse. No fat, just lean muscle. @ $32.00 a 35lb bag. I'm hoping to save quite a bit compaired to $53.00 for 28lbs of Orijen. I like the short ingredient list minus all the added crap you can't pronounce.

Taste of the Wild, Salmon along with a little bit of canned blue buffalo mixed in. My dogs are thriving on it. Weight is good, coats are shiny and extremely soft, they don't have to eat too much.  Both Taste of the Wild and Blue Buffalo are the only two foods I have found that do well on my Huskies, and also my GSD Anubis.  In the past before Anubis I tried Nutro....my dogs got sick every day on it throwing up at least twice a day.....Tried different kinds of Diamond, similar reaction, but terrible skin allergies, tried a few others and they did poor on all of them. Hopefully TOTW and Blue will remain good foods since they're at what I consider reasonable in price. $44 for a 30 lb bag here

Over there you should be able to get both Orijen and Acana both from Canada, both top class kibbles
The price we pay over here for Orijen is $120 a bag not cheap Acana a little less not much. At the monent i am feeding 4.5 month old Izzy on Acana Large breed Puppy, about 33% protein, When she gets a .little older i will fed her The Large Dog Food of Orijen or Acana
The Fish Orijen is excellent as is the Acana one,  i may feed a combination of the Fish and Meat a little later on
For me i will not feed a cheap kibble,
Yesterday i won a 15kg bag of Eukanba dog food in a raffle in the Belgian Provincial  ScH trial i was at yesterday, will i give it to the Dogs
No, i will give it away to someone at the Club this next week,
Steve

I am feeding Acana Pacifica to my female but my male would barely eat it.   Then, I started adding in the Acana Grasslands for my male and he'd eat it but definitely wasn't thrilled with it.  I've switched him back to Innova EVO and he is back to eating like normal.

I've tried different foods for my female with her inhallent allergies (not food allergies) and dry flaky skin.  I had a bad reaction to a bag of TOTW and haven't purchased it since but I do like the price of TOTW much better than I do Acana.  Just not willing to take a chance again on TOTW.

I've also been supplementing her kibble with some homemade cooking (beef liver, broccoli/spinach and brown rice).  I honestly don't think I'm going to continue that avenue though as I still feel her kibble is more balanced than what I can cook for her.

Natural Balance, Venison & Sweet Potato--a handful of kibble mixed in with raw chicken hearts & gizzards, cooked squash, and a hard-boiled egg, and sometimes add yogurt or peanut butter (I try to change it up).  I also give a chicken or turkey neck for my girl to munch on, to keep her teeth clean.  She doesn't care for those tasteless MilkBones, lol.

Not enough Fat content in Nutro Natrual Choice  - GSD need more fat content....  You didn't like Diamond - I feed my dogs the natural - and have great sucess...lamb with rice...low hair loss - don't have to feed to much, like it, and coat looks nice, and no dry skin........    Most of the posters state they use Taste of Wild - that too is manufactured by Diamond.......but each dog is different and you have to do what works for your own dogs...

Happyday.. .

Mimi, where are you located? I have a source for raw food that is IMO better quality than commonsense at a fraction of the price. Let me know if you are interested.
