This is the most awful situation I have ever been involved with.  But I will admit that I will not break the law.  I will get Greta back but unlie Cindy Hiemenz I will do it legally.

the courts could rule only a money judgement for you .as to what you already paid for the dog.i do not think they have to necessarily make her give you back the dog.perhaps your husband can file pain and suffering from the assault claims against her and put yourself in a better negotiating position with this person.

We have filed an assault charge against her.  I don't want a monet judgement --- I want my dog back.  The money judgement is almost $4,000.  This is not going to save Greta.

that's my point the courts do not always work .they will go almost always with the money judgement.that's why you need to level the playing field. to the court the dog is goods they do not attach emotional feeling towards it.perhaps you should go get a lawyer.they may not be able to go into small claims court with you ,but they may help a negotiation.

I cannot afford a lawyer.  Beside, I did nothing wrong.  I am college educated and have researched the law.  Will represent my self and Greta.  Just say a little prayer for Greta who is in jail and she did nothing wrong.

The law SUCKS when it comes to dogs.  I once had a great dog Kareen vom Kerschberger fostered by someone called Connie Christopher who was a tenant of mine.  I had too many dogs and she seemed nice to take care of him as I paid for the dogs food and medical (if needed).  One day another tenant of mine which I called for something, tells me 'OH and connie took Kareen to the SFE Clinic to get him neutered'...    I hung up grabbed all the papers and flew to the Clinic to get my dog back.

GUESS WHAT?   The vet THREW ME OUT even though I am the only person who could proof ownership + the only one who knew the tattoo ID in that dogs' ear!!!    I called the police immediately and GUESS WHAT?  They too told me to 'behave myself and file a civil suit'   She immediately found another place to live, left me with 3 months unpaid rent, a filghty house and my dog is GONE.      She showed up at the clinic that day as they called her and I told her to get the hell out of my house and that I was never going to let this go.

There is no justice unless you take it into your hands like wazzup did.   But this witch can not be found.  I am still trying and thinking of hiring a private investigator.    Needless to say that NEVER HAVE YOUR DOGS IN A FOSTER HOME.

I live in Santa Fe NM and yes that is where this occured.   The dog pictured is Kareen vom Kerschberger, the long coat I mentioned was stolen from me.

I would ask Karama to post pictures of Greta here too should one member go to the Fenwald kennel and see the dog?

This is Kareen, the pscycho calls him Piglet.
