I just called Delta to see what could be done and they told me Windy picked Amelia up a few minutes ago. I have not heard from her, so do not know what is going on at this point. I will keep updated. I am praying she will get her a new crate and put her on a plane. I really don't know what else to do.

HAS WINDY ACKNOWLEDGED SHE IS ON WAY BACK ....THIS DOG WILL NOT STAY IN THAT CRATE...SHE ALREADY FOUND OUT HOW TO GET OUT...THE DOORS OF THESE CRATES WONT TAKE A 80 LB GERMANS WITH A 2000 LB CRUSHING POWER JAW...

CANT SHIP THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO SPEND ON FREIGHT..
.i HAVE A 279.00 CRATE MADE BY vARI kENNEL AND THE DOG WENT FIRST...ON A TRIP SOMEONE APPROACHED THE TRUCK AND BEAR TOOK HIS REVENGE OUT ON THE DOOR...HE IS 85 LBS BUT THEY HAVE A CRUSHING POWER THAT PLASTIC WONT STAND WHEN PULLED INWARD....SHE WILL JUST PULL THE DOOR INWARD TILL IT COLLAPSES...
LET ME KNOW...SHE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THIS AND STAY IN A HOME UNTIL FURTHER ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE..i HAVE ROOM FOR HER BUT SHE WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL WITH ME TWO TIMES TO UTMB IN GALVESTON THIS MONTH...i KNOW HOW TO KEEP HER IN A KENNEL SO THAT IS NOT A CONCERN FOR ME...i HAVE 300.00 CRATES OUT OF WIRE THAT A GORILLA WOULDHAVE TO ATTACK...THEY ARE COW CLIPPED AND BUNGIED AND ENGINE TIED ALL THE WAY AROUND ,,,CANT COLLAPSE OR GET OUT....CAN BE WEDGED WITH ANOTHER CRATE IN FRONT OR THE TAIL GATE SO SHE CANT PUSH OUT IF SHE SHOULD GET IT HALF WAY OPEN...NEVER EVER HAD A DOG ESCAPE...23 YEARS OF IT....SO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WANT DONE...
i AM LEAVING TO GO TO GALVESTON ON THE 9TH SO SHE , IF I HAVE HER WITH ME , WILL HAVE TO GO WITH ME....i DONT LEAVE TROUBLE MAKES ALONE...

We have a farm, and both work full time. I can't loose my job to go pick her up...unemployment is extremely high in this area, so I cannot chance losing my job. She will have to be shipped. That's all I know to do. We also have a farm with cattle, horses, and I have eight dogs...I can't just up and leave. We don't even take vacations! If I could, I would have driven down to get her in the first place, but it's not an option. I could fly down, but she'd still have to ride in a crate as baggage, so I don't see how that would help. I really am out of options! Windy does have her now though and I'm sure we will be able to work something out to get her home.

buy a crate online and have it shipped to that woman in Texas overnight. You two are something else. The poor dog is the one who suffers while you two nickel and dime everything to death. Get the dog safely home and then worry about straightening out your finances. And the next time, be a bit more honest and selective who you sell and ship a dog to.
Also, I find it hard to believe that airlines do not stock crates. We had to buy one last Saturday at the United counter when we were informed that they would not take ours since it only had plastic screws. New requirement, that all crates have to be fastened with metal screws!

Why don't you use one of the pet transport ground services or get a few people to set up an underground railroad type of transport?

Poor dog. They like the drama and attention I think. I can hear wpool now, I tried to send her back! But I couldn't deal with it anymore so dropped her off at a shelter!
Dog must not have been sick if wpools vet gave her a health ceertificate to ship with...........
Both Chris and Vickie just gave you excellent advise. Follow one of them.
