The Schutzhund League people are talking about was funded by a family who had inherited a lot of money and wanted to have some fun. I heard they even had an events in Europe when they travelled and the goal was not to make it like the major leagues of baseball. I heard their accountant swindled with money and that this family is now living in a state of puberty.
It looks like Carlos Rojas...he is a breeder and a schutzhund trainer who has clubs with all the major schutzhund organizationals is trying to get all the organizations together and that is why the judges are from different organizations. This is on purpose from what I can see and the fact that all three judges judge all three aspects keeps them on their toes and makes it so interesting for everyone. I don't see the third judge named yet though from that website. Kudos to Carlos Rojas.

What organization (if any) is behind this event? How do competitors qualify or how are they selected? Who selected the judges/helpers? By Olympic style judging, do you mean all three judges will score all dogs in all phases and an average will be the final score or ??? Sounds interesting. More info please!
Regards,
Diane Seaman

I think your choice in selecting Doug Deacon is GREAT as Doug is a very fair man.I have had the pleasure and honour of training with him a couple times and thought he was amazing.I also beleive his judging is very good.Congradulations and may it turn out to be a successfull event for all involved.Perhaps we will see you in June everything permitting.

I understand that the event is by invitation only.
Who determines who is invited and how does one qualify? What are the determining factors that you base your decision on to extend an invitation? What criteria?

You can not mention the "best of the best" and leave Ivan's name out of it!!!

Carlos is putting it on and backing this himself, so HIS criteria for invitation is appropriate, whatever it may be.
It is his criteria for determining who is invited and who is not that I was asking him about and how one qualifies for such an invite. I certainly wasn't asking for your uninformed opinion.
His "criteria" could be solid black dogs only and only handlers with income in excess of $500,000.00 a year. That doesn't make that the best of the best. In your opinion, that might be "...appropriate, whatever it may be." I asked for a description of the criteria he uses to determine who he invites, who he eliminates and why.
