Thanks all for the nice comments about Bazi.

Bazi is normal size and in line as to what the judges are looking for know  a days. As he matures and his conditioning improves his chest is really filling out and he has that what i call the "lion look"  that I believe Abhay was refering to when he mentioned seeing the "Yasko" in him.

I remeber seeing Yasko in Texas a few years ago and he looked to me like a lion in German Shepherd's clothing and i really liked that look

Now, I am keeping a close eye on Bazi progeny and if they continue to develop nicely then Bazi will contribute well to the breed. we will see more of his prgeny at 2008 Sieger Show. from what we can see now his pups look pretty good and most have the same work ethic and nerves that are required to work well. now we just need to see how they place among other dogs in their classes.

should be an intersting year for Bazi.

Hi Jeffrey,

I'm so glad you shared the story of your meeting with Bazi.  We have two connections--first, Chroko lived in the house with me for a few months before you bought him and he was absolutely one of the coolest dogs I ever met.   I cried when he left for Taiwan and am so glad to hear he is loved & appreciated.   I even provided a big toy for him to have in the crate--he ALWAYS had one in his mouth to carry around--but I'm not sure the ball made the flight.

He has the BEST temperament all around--because of him I really wanted to find a dog with Hoss in the pedigree...

Well--I may have ..  my Yasko daugter, Bienchen v. Tronje was bred to Bazi in Germany about 3 weeks ago and I'll know next week if she's pregnant.   So I may have my "Hoss" litter through his mother.     She's a super producer, so that should be a wonderful combination.   If she is pregnant, I've been told not to count on pet homes for the little Bazi alligators!

I was at the BSZS and everyone was talking about Bazi's super bitework, and of course I was smitten last year at NASS.  I may have met you then--wish I'd known you had Chroko.   Anyway best of luck with Bazi and PLEASE give my best regards to Chroko.

Julia in Dallas

PS I'd like permission to use that wonderful photo if my girl is pregnant!

Thanks for all the warm invitations to Texas and California. There is a side of me that would like to think I was invited because i was a nice guy but i know the truth it is because I have a nice Dog Bazi.

Maybe I should take him out in public more and then I may get invited  to a few more parties ???

I hope to make it to Texas and California sometime in the future.

Ginabean...what a really small world. I am really happy to meet someone that knows Chroko. He is a great dpg and very much loved and well taken care of. he became famous in Taiwan because he went to several shows and did well but more importantly I concentrated on his sch skills and he was one of the more controled hard workers on the field. Even when the German working judges came to taiwan they could never give him a bad score even though they never liked a show dog competing in the working trials but Chroko always came thru for me. He is dog you can take anywhere. he never embarrasses me. i do not even have to give him a command he can tell from the look in my eyes.

He goes to resturants with me and stays off leash at the front door until I come out. he has been to all sorts of functions and is always on perfect behavior and very approachable. he changes into attack or prey drive mode on command and will easily keep people at bay. Good thing they do not know he will not bite them unless they are wearing a sleeve.

In Taipei most people do not like big dogs and are very afraid of them so Chroko is a great deterrent as well as a good ambassador for the trained GSD.

You are right he loves to walk around with a ball in his mouth. that makes him complete.

I hope you hit it with your female. sounds like a great combination and I love seeing more Bazi progeny in the USA. Let me know what happens. and of course you can use Bazi's photo with his progeny. If you ned anymore photos just let me know.

Good luck to you and Chroko sends his best.

Jeffrey

Jeffrey,  I think you are receiving the friendliness because you are so refreshing.  Your dogs have become dogs of the people so to speak.

Jeffrey,

I enjoyed seeing Bazi at NASS 2006 but I've never had the pleasure of meeting you personally. Yes, it is refreshing and intriguing to meet a successful person in the dog world who is down-to-earth and able to socialize and to be at ease with those of us without similar achievements.

Truly, I would enjoy meeting Bazi up close. However, I have no intact bitches as breeding candates. Therefore, I have no hidden personal motives in inviting you to California.

Perhaps you will be coming (with or without Bazi) to the 2008 USA Sieger Show in San Jose next April?? If so, I hope that we will meet at that time. I can introduce you to my titled males who go everywhere with me as my "assistance dogs".

Louise

Jeffrey,

You do have some nice dogs.  Bazi and Caro????  Wow!  Somebody who does appreciate the breed and all it can offer.  I'm glad you are continuing with both of them.

Thanks for the good wishes--we'll know Saturday.    Can you post a picture of Chroko?
