This is precisely the "veerage" I feared would result. There are now nine pages of debate on sexual orientation, bible interpretation, theology, and the US Constititution...on an international DOG forum.

Yes but they all claim to own dogs......lol

Sexual orientation is a personal matter and should be kept that way, not carried on signs or worn on your shirt sleeve.
Bible interpretation in itself is a sin, blasphemy.   The bible itself declares this.
The US Constitution is a document, those worlds need no interpretation either in my view, they mean the same thing today as they meant when written.
Theology is always up for debate as long as one realizes they can't change the beliefs of others.

Then look at the line up of posters, great minds attract.

The forum has survived them this long, I don't see the threat to anyone other than themselves.

Moons.

Yes BUT let's count our blessings and be thankful  this is one thread, not multiples, I sure as hell can live with it!

One, my sexual orientation is predominately HETEROsexual.
My partner is a woman.  I'm a man.  I can legally marry.  The real kind, not the civil union kind.  So I'm baffled as to why sexual orientation was brought up in the first place.

Bible interpretation is a sin?  How does anyone read the Bible, without interpreting it?  Am I then to understand that God actually *did* hang the stars on the firmament, as the Bible says?  In which case... why are they no longer hanging on anything, but in fact balls of burning fuel in space?  If I simply take everything, at face value, literally and without some degree of interpretation as to their meaning, I'd have some pretty outlanding beliefs.  You know... like the earth is flat, the earth is the center of the universe, the sky is solid and stars are hung upon it...

No one disputed anything about the contents of the Constitution- I merely pointed out that the word God doesn't appear once, in the entirety of the document.

I think it's absolutely hilarious the way some people rise up on their hind legs to tell others who they should or shouldn't love or tell someone what they are or aren't  - as if it was any of their business!  I especially get a kick out of their moral indignation - what a crock.  Get a life, find a lover, it really does a body good.

Transgenders are just as accepted as us gays for good reason

LMFAO

You don't even read what I type, do you?
I'm not sure where you think I "interpreted" that the Constitution of the United States doesn't contain the word God.  Maybe you should READ it.  I'm not interpreting anything- the word God ISN'T in there.  That's not "my spin".  The word simply does not appear, at any place, in the document.

As far as "putting my spin" on the Bible... knowing what the Hebrew words originally used actually mean, isn't putting a "spin" on everything.  The "spin" was added when Catholics decided to misrepresent the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words as they translated the books.
I fail to see how understanding the Bible, as it was actually written, is putting a "spin" on anything.

While we're already veering violently, I'd like to call my arrogance to the front row and turn this into a thread about me for just a teensy weensy minute. You don't mind, do you MW?

Dear Raymond, perhaps your intellect is simply too much for me to comprehend, but how am I a liar? I understand perfectly well how I am arrogant. Thank you for your (anxiously awaited) response.
