Now that we have returned to civility here in this thread, maybe I can go train a few dogs. Please behave in my absence. Do'nt make me get out a can of whoopass when I come back. Make nice. The world is watching. How stupid do we want to look?

by allianz on 06 February 2008 - 20:02

why, oh, why, would the SV or FCI have issues with this?  The judges are not going to sign score books, Titles will not be earned.  The dogs belong and are owned by private people and not property of the SV or FCI.  The FCI and SV do not own the grounds the event will be held at.  I don't think there is any nullification for making money with your dog.  So what is the difference if the dog gets a staring role in a movie and makes money.  Perhaps the SV and FCI could learn from the Olympic style judging and make it mandatory at all world events.  I would take it a step further and have 9 judges, 3 for each phase!  Now go ahead and schmooze all those judges.

Oh, so you think you can just invite an SV judge and organise your own trial with YOUR rules and have them judge the stuff ?? think again dude, if the SV is going to let that pass, why would anyone even bother with them anymore in the future ? the whole system is set up so that you deposit the $$ with them and get their permission. After that, you do whatever you want with them, but don't think those judges will get off without a sanction if they return after judging a "trial" that isn't even an official one, and certainly not after no permission was asked by anyone. It doesn't matter if they don't sign scorebooks (that would even make it worse ofcourse), the mere fact they are JUDGING does it.

You can make as much money with your dog as you want, that's not the issue. The SV doesn't care. But they do decide who gets to use THEIR judges. If they don't allow you too, it get's risky, especially for the judges involved. I do hope they are aware of those consequences.

I am sure you already told them willymark!

by Pat Relton on 06 February 2008 - 21:02

Hey Allianz...I hope you won't make trouble and cause the SV judges any grief by being a rabble rousing kurriersnitch. I am really looking forward to seeing this judge from Sweden because he walks it and talks it. He won the WUSV for goodness sake and came in second the year before being beaten by none other than the man, Fritz Biehler. Do you know what kind of opportunity this is? Helmut Raiser might be paired up with Ivan in obedience and Wallace and Dean and Charlie and John Jabina!!!  I am sweating to get my boy to run blinds without booking to the helper you know so please keep your paranoia and jealousy to yourself so I can drive down 95 to watch the best gets busy. Please.

Bi Color:  We can't all qualify for SSI like you.

My apologies to everyone.  I should not have bothered to respond to bi color, having previously stated that I would not bother to respond to the obviously afflicted among us.  It was beneath me and mean to have bothered to respond.

Interesting...bi color=SpeakNow? :-)

by Pat Relton on 06 February 2008 - 22:02

i don't think bi-color and speaknow are one in the same

i would love to find out who speaknow is

speaknow is into show dogs and is either an english teacher, accountant, journalist, lawyer or one of the people on tv who does commentary

speaknow is a sieger show regular and has a high sense of morality but only when speaknow is left out in the cold if speanknow benefits, then speaknow doesn't speakout

just my opinion

by ListenNow on 06 February 2008 - 22:02

Please be nice. It's not fair to talk about Speaknow behind his or her back. You should be able to find Speaknow in the Workinglines V. Showlines thread where I asked him to go park his or her ass until he or she could come back with some humility.
