Hey Jenni, I wasn't referring to you as being in denial... I'm sorry if I implied that. I was frustrated with Duval's way of defending the breed when he quite obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. People like that are better off as the saying goes, "Keeping silent and being thought a fool, than opening his mouth and removing all doubt."
This shit right HERE that Duval writes:
"My buddy raises pitts,and he has a few that he has kept that are inbred and keeps them away from the other ono-inbred pitts cause they are not right in the head. We have used these dogs hog hunting and they are way more agrressive then the non-inbred pitts. They a harder to trian and are stubbern as hell. So i have seen them first hand and know what they can do..I'd my self never own a pitt again since GSD's have taken my heart and i see the difference in both dogs, But you gotta see if to believeit..."
Just goes to prove that he and his buddy are among the people out there who don't know shit about the breed and are breeding them. They have no business in the breed as far as I am concerned. They are obviously Inbreeeding or Linebreeding on CRAP bloodlines. You should never breed ANY breed of dog who as he states "Is not right in the head"

Some kid trying to tell me anything about bulldogs, just makes me think of myself back 20 years ago when I knew everything. Ignorance was bliss...

I'd throw you out of class anyway. Reread my post, Duval. You are continually telling Stacy what made good fighting dogs. My point is, you don't know what you're talking about. You can tell an inbred dog just by looking at it? You've seen dogs and known they were inbred, or you've been told they're inbred? Do you know the difference? What is it? Your buddy raises Pits and the inbred ones are a lot more aggressive...your words, not mine. You clearly are a wannabe, and beyond that, you've actually threatened other posters. Attitudes like yours are part of the reason we're having these problems now.

FWIW: I have met a pit that was beyond linebred/inbred: the same dog appeared in the pedigree SIXTEEN TIMES in seven generations. Had it been a gsd, I know of no one who would not have run away from buying it. However, my then club-member trusted the breeder, who he said culled rigorously and "knew his lines." Perhaps. The pit in question was one of the mildest-mannered dogs I have ever seen. All that inbreeding, which I would have thought would have led to at least two heads, resulted in a very stable-temperamented, sweet dog that wouldn't bite a biscuit with gravy on it. Maybe the breeder did know his lines, but he was breeding game pits and got a real cuddle-wuddle, so...

I think I saw a TV show (was it CM?, can't remember) with the kind of "pits" Dval talks about, and they all live their lives staked to a chain in the ground. I doubt it is hogs they are being bred to hunt. Think about it, how do you control a hunting dog who is not right in the head, especially if the owner has the same trait?

Exactly what I was thinking!!! I thought I smelled poop. I even checked the bottom of my shoes!
NONE of our hunting dogs could be even the slightest bit aggressive towards people. You need full control over the dogs, you need to work with them and trust them. And these hogs are wild animals. I wouldn't even think about taking dogs I found to be lacking out in the woods. No one who truly hunts with their dogs would....
Duval is either making up stories or twisting the truth. Either way he makes people who DO care about the breed look cruel and ignorant :-/
