Please explain WHAT THE HELL  you hope to accomplish by your repeated inane posts on a gsd forum?  Don't you people have a shiloh forum to expound on?   What is the point of you coming on here, ad nauseum?

admittedly i have not followed this thread too closely and don't really know what bs is being spread nor do i know the truth regarding this bs; so if you guys who are here to  dispel the misinformation - i.e. sunsilver & nickthenut - could list the 'myths'/ bs that is being posted then follow that with the truth about this breed it might bring some resolution or at the very least you might feel you've had your say.   i know i would benefit from seeing it clearly and concisely laid out and perhaps others might as well.  also if  this topic ever comes up again, as we all know it will, others can steer those inquiring to this thread where you guys have 'set the record straight'.  hth

Ok, I'm the first one to say that a lot of posts (and posters) on this forum are ridiculous and hateful (I vote for a neutral Mod) but this comment has to join them in the ridiculous dept.  "Is this what GSD people are like?  Angry at all people that don't have GSDs?"  Absolutely, positively NOT.  Loving and caring for true GSDs and seeing them maligned, insulted, and misrepresented, as IME a lot of Shiloh people do, is a righteous cause for anger for some on this board, and I don't blame them for vociferously sticking up for their breed and their breeding TO THE STANDARD, unlike the Shilohs.  Reading a lot of Shiloh crap, because it IS crap, implying that no one is breeding the true GSD of my youth is nonsense.  I've been around this board for a couple of years now, reading long before I started posting, and along with the yahoos there are a lot of good, true, GSD breeders here doing a fantastic job of breeding good, true, GSDs.

Shiloh people want to create a new breed?  Fine.  New breeds have to come from somewhere.  I'm sure Herr Dobermann would've been mocked and ridiculed on msg. boards had they been around in his time, but DON'T come here touting Shilohs as the one true GSD faith and not expect to come face-to-face with reality.

Mystere - I have probably been on this site as long as you have - I still follow what is going on with GSD's with great interest. I only registered recently to respond to the attacks on the Shilohs so no, I wont go away just because you dont like what I am saying.   You are right - this stuff does not belong on a GSD site so stop posting incorrect information about Shilohs & I will not feel the need to correct you!

It's simple - someone asked a question about Shilohs & the usual GSD bias against them reared it's ugly head so why shouldnt I respond from a different perspective? Do I have to agree with you to be allowed to post here?

Justcurious - you seem like a great open-minded person but I think I'd be wasting my time repeating what I have already said - this sort of ignorant holier-than-thou prejudice from people who think their dogs are the best & cant be improved upon is a wall that is obviously not going to come down easily.

I repeat - all I ask is you guys concentrate on changing what's wrong with your own breed & stop pi**ing on the Shilohs - great dogs in their own right.  But you wont will you - it's an old tactic to knock others when things arent going so well in your own department huh?

More implications that today's GSD aren't right as a breed, which is nonsense.  There's a lot of GSD breeders, many on this board, who are doing exactly that - Concentrating on changing what's wrong (or needs improvement) in their own breed.  They're not "pi**ssing on the Shilohs" - they're objecting to Shiloh people saying that Shilohs are "the real old time German Shepherds."

Again, want to create a new breed?  Fine, go do it.  But DON'T do it by preaching to gullible people that you're not creating a new breed, but Going Back to an Old Breed the Way It Should Be - that's GARBAGE, and German Shepherd fanciers will rightfully not sit silently by while people do that.

Yes of course there are good GSD breeders out there trying to improve the breed (I was one of them) and I have not at any time claimed  the Shilohs are 'going back to an old breed....... '   If you read my contributions to this thread all I have tried to do is correct the misinformation about Shilohs and object to the nasty close-minded attitude of some of the other contributors.  

I have no axe to grind with GSD people - I just dont like what is happening to the breed & you know I'm not alone in that. But that wasnt my point - I just dont understand the venom being spouted against the Shiloh on a forum which should be about promoting the German Shepherd.

And we cant win can we? According to the posts on here the Shilohs are either just a German Shepherd cross masquerading as a seperate breed, or a seperate breed with nothing to do with the old style German Shepherd.    I dont particularly care - all I know is I now own an  extraordinary dog in perfect health that is everything I was looking for - great temperament, great working drive, excellent hips, straight back with no ugly stoop.........  There are still German Shepherds out there with those same attributes but they are getting harder to find.

Justcurious, I've been meaning to ask, who are those two gorgeous working line dogs you posted pictures of?

the sable is Ajax vom Röhnsaler Bach and is actually the dog shelley ask someone to give her for xmas:)) the black is another dog from the same breeder his name is Bajko von Peroh. i ran a search for ajax and i found the website and fell madly in love with their dogs.  i would love to get a pup from this kennel - maybe one day <g> here's the link http://www.tjaernshaget.de/
