I THINK I FIGURED OUT WHO YOU ARE????

I think he means suckled, or nursed ;-)

There were a few pit bull stories: How the parents didn't hear the child's screams sooner is beyond me! I have my theories though

www.kinston.com/articles/sleeps-58261-baby-toes.html

And what just blows my mind, is how parents leave animals with children unattended at all! I don't care what the age or disposition of the animal is. Maybe that was how I have been able to raise 4 children around literally hundreds of dogs, without ever having an incident.. Hmmm responsiblity?!

There was a news story many years ago about a pet raccoon chewing fingers and toes off of a baby, again while the parents slept.

There was also a story that made the news about new parents bring their baby home and introducing it to their adult rottweiler by shoving the baby in his face, and he grabbed it and crushed it's skull.

About a month ago a lady I know was attacked by a GSD she was taking care of, and he put holes in her face and neck. Not pretty and she is having to go to a plastic surgeon to have the scarring reduced. I will ask her permission to post the pictures. Her story never made the news. So a lot of it is witch-hunting.

What the hell? Are you like nine years old?

Not everyone should have a dog,  some people should try fish first and gradually move up with pets. It sucks to see a dog  turn on anyone, when the blaim should  be on the owner...

Duval,
Most of the serious or fatal attacks are purebred pit bulls, that are neither properly trained or contained. People who love the breed are in denial.
I love the breed too, but I also keep my eyes open to what is happening. If you go back and read my posts you can see my opinion on this.

STACY,

Go to Google and read the statisics of the pitt bull, its the mixed pitts  are the ones besides the inbred pitts and do the most damage..Inbred pitts are the best to fight and ones with the most aggresstion.  Mixed pitts are the one that have the most "bites" of all the pitts..

I don't need to Google it Duval. My pits were ALL INBREDor LINEBRED and didn't attack people. You've heard the phrase there are 3 types of lies:
1) White Lies
2) Damn Lies
3) Statistics

Perfect example. I used to lie and say that my dogs were "mixes" when people were afraid of them. Somehow that made them less scared of them. Also most of the PURE BRED pit bulls at the shelters are listed as PIT BULL MIX when they are pretty clearly pure bred. I have pictures of PURE pits that I could put up and you'd probably not even know they were pure bred.

Your theory about INBRED dogs fighting better is wrong, most of the old time dog fighters used very INBRED dogs with complete outcrosses to create battle crosses. Because THEY were preferred in the pit.
