This Shilo thing should never have  been on a GS site as they are in  no way a GS. Hans Prager I respect you an d your dogs and I glad she helped you.. But she has done a lot to set back the GS with her rants and breedings of these Shilo things. She improved nothing just created anothe mix bred animal. Also loved Pragers discussion on here about genetics.....

Wrestleman, \i think you misunderstood my post.  \i don't at all agree with Maggie's stand on schutzhund. However, I agree with Prager that too much emphasis on bitework and producing sport dogs has produced 'prey monsters' that are unsuitable for the other tasks GSDs used to be so good at like herding, guiding the blind, etc.  I hate to see these jobs being lost to our breed. We need to go back to producing better balanced dogs.

I am not at all against schutzhund. I just don't think it's THE ONLY thing the GSD should be good at.
