Although I disagree whole heartedly with the op's decision to make such a personal choice a matter of public knowledge! I can only surmize that such a decision was made in an open attempt for support and acceptance of such a decision! As many times this forum has castigated others for off topic discussions I find it not surprising that so many have expressed support of such a disclosure: while visiting topics of  high moral standards with border line violent responses! Strange is it not that children are forbidden to read books that teach high moral standards and encouraged to read books that promote and endorse so called sexual perversions! the op can and is supported and encouraged to disclose and eloborate such a personal coice however one who posts about right and wrong is persecuted or as most here would say  is held with prejedicucial contempt! A sign of the times!  I am in no way heaping condemnation upon anyone ! Only that as the rest of you would say this is a dog board and if one is brave enough to broad cast their sexual or gender difficulties and yous are tolerant enough to respond and encourage it then be decent enough to give equal time to those with as( moons) would say a different view point!

Raymond,

For the purpose of this board it matters not.  Moon made his point I believe, unhindered.
I have not known him to need alot of help expressing his point. You can simply agree with him
or not. He has never taken it personal  that I  know of, as long as you don't attack him personally.
At least most of the time, to my knowledge.

Raymond,

I think you make a very good point.

Perhaps this is what the Op is looking for, a heated debate.

I see several topics that could arise from this thread.

But I am not the one to begin such debate.

I wasn't aware I'd prevented anyone from voicing their own opinions.

I was asked, publicly, by Diane why I hid behind a screenname.  In my situation, that's not a simple explanation.

And knowing PDB, if I'd just said, oh, my name is Aaron, I train with Twin County Schutzhund club, someone else would have taken it upon themself to share the same information I already have, only with their own interpretations thrown in.
After seeing the insinuations of some bizarre lesbian tryst between Molly and Shelley, I don't think that's an irrational conclusion.

Kinda hard for people to use your personal life against you, if you've made it apparent it doesn't bother you.  ;)

Now we can stick to bashing my dog, my dog's breeder, my training approach, my club, etc etc.
[You know, the other information contained in my OP.  Its you folks who've chosen to single out one or two sentences in that entire post.  ;) ]

You people !!!!!
folks, same thing.

Leave Shelley and Molly out of this, don't muddy up the waters in this manner.

You have prevented nothing.
Some are just showing sympathy for your particular situation.

So far I have seen no bashing of any sort.

But Pandora's box has been opened and I know the nature of the board and this will take a course of it's own according to that nature.

Mudwick,
I agree, let the dog praising or bashing begin, and handlers you are just there for the ride.

Let us now,..........  focus on  our dogs and their  good and bad points.

                   Denise call me!!!............

Mudwick I only see a very precious dog who deserves and requires all the love and comaradry you can give!  I know of no time you have voiced opposition to differing points of view! Only that this forum as a whole does so and sometimes very forcefully! Now that you have disclosed your very personal affairs I trust you will allow others whom may not agree with your position to voice their concerns also! After all that is partly a reason why you served so honorably! I thank you for your sacrifice and salute your efforts at preserving this nation! Although I am diametrically opposed to your conflict I say that there is a solution to your dilemma! welcome and train with vigor! I am also opposed to bashing dogs and trainers and rude behavior!

Myracle

Not really.  I use you folks because "you guys" strikes me as sexist and "you all" would immediately be reduced to complaints about the semantic implication that I'm accusing every member of PDB of some particular behavior, based upon the ALL part.

[Although now I'm replaying the "what do you mean, you people?" scene from Tropic Thunder in my head.  Thanks for the chuckle.]

I never alleged that anyone had bashed me.  People are attributing motives to my post that simply aren't there.  I'm probably wasting my breath trying to convince you that I'm not on some crusade to shove queer life down anyone's throat.

I didn't mention Shelley and Molly to divert anything.  I just noticed a tactic of dragging people's personal [as in, NON-DOG related] lives into the fray.  I find it almost comical that other people alleging things is all well and good, but if a person says the same about themselves, all of the sudden there are objections.

You mean to tell me that the same people who'll pull up county inspection records [again, this isn't ABOUT that mess, its about the tactics people seem to enjoy using on PDB, this is just the most recent example] wouldn't pull up the county records that show my name change?

Raymond,

Here, here, ......very good post, your last one. But how do you feel about that fool Gunter Digel
whacking off 6 points, knocking down a 97 to a 91 because the dog was barking in the helper's face?
I mean come on. A very tight nice routine done by a good dog at the WUSV the last time Gunter
was C judge. Don't you just want to kick his German ass? Don't be shy Raymond tell me what you
really think.
