Whenever I click on a topic, there is a considerable delay before it comes up and appears to be allowing a video advert to load first, it starts palying as soon as the topic comes up and if you hover over the ad while waiting, you can see a countdown. ANyone else getting this or know how to get rid of it?

I think the site is just real slow right now because maybe Oli is doing some work on the new features he is installing.

I am hearing ads as well.

Could be various things. Virus or you have 'allow pop-ups' ticked. Could be to do with whatever anti-virus you use. Have you run a scan?
Another thing you can do and it's what I use is download a programme called Adblock Plus. Blocks loads of annoying ads.
https://adblockplus.org/en/internet-explorer can be used for Chrome and Firefox too.
