Had some UKC shows this weekend, did friday and saturday. Got 4 Group 1. But no BIS, can't seem to beat the fluffy dogs.
But i figured i'd post a current pix of my little beastie.

I have to say, 'fry, she doesn't really look like she's thrilled to be there....is it just the having to pose for a picture she's annoyed with, or would she rather skip the conformation ring and everything that goes with it?

It is hard to beat fluffy dogs, but then again, this year's AKC National Dog Show was taken by an American Foxhound bitch, and she had to beat out a Bearded Collie, a Peke, a Bichon, an Irish Water Spaniel, a Norfolk, and a Standard Schnauzer....all much fluffier or fancier than a Foxhound, that's for sure.  So maybe Payne's time is coming, too!

She is a pretty girl.

She's pretty, and in good condition.  I try not to judge dogs on UKC show photos, as their show photographers are, er....unimpressive.

Oh it's all her! she hates having her photo taken and i asked to not be in the photo. Plus any time i give her the Stand-Stay command she gets this "Look" like i'm going to beat her or something. And i'm pretty sure she's not real impressed with conformation either. It's rather boring and she looked much happier when i did a little heeling practice before the show got started. But she did want i asked and was a good girl with all sorts of strangers and children pawing all over her, getting down in her face, (Something i never do to strange dogs!) And even kissing her. Hopefully i can get some pix soon of some agility or obedience because she's ready to get serious but the trials seem to have dried up around here. :p

Congrats on your Group 1's, 'fry! She is a cute little thing, for sure, even with looking bored. :) Love her!

It says a lot about your relationship with her, then, that she shows well enough to take both the breed and the group, even though she doesn't love doing it. Such a good-looking girl, and such a willing worker for you as well!  Thumbs Up  Shouldn't take her long to finish, then, and then the two of you will be able to just do the FUN stuff [by Payne's standards]!

UKC update on Payne, we tried our first Lure course today and she got her first leg! She had a blast and i will be sure to try coursing again at the next show they offer it. She's faster then a Pit bull but not as fast as a Rat Terrier! And she was the ONLY dog to come when called at the end of the chase. It's hot in florida today, was in the upper 80's and really sunny! I'm hoping the next run will be on a cooler day. But that was fun. If my friend manages to get the video i'll try and post it.

Very cool, 'fry!  She's quite the versatile dog, isn't she?

Seems she will do just about anything i ask of her from squirrel hunting to lure coursing to IPO and agility. Heck maybe someday i'll get a Total Dog ribbon. :D
