Got a question about a future breeding, just wondering whether a breeding between dogs that are 1st cousins on both sides of their lineage would be considered to close? To explain more fully the intended males mother and the intended females father are belly litter mates, and the intened females mother is the intended males fathers 1/2 sister, would this type of breeding be considered to close?

if what i am reading is true you want to do a 3-3 on two different dogs, is that right?

well i have done  a 3-3 on 2 different dogs before  and i would not do it again too many problems. alot of minor faults. ( the pedigree was good lines)

the only way i would do it is if these dogs  had excellent health and super all arount quallty cause  what you are going to get is both the good and bad  from the dogs you do line breeding on, so if it was me i would not do it.

i think a 4 or 5 linebreeding is fine, i think 2 and 3 linebreeding is a bit too close in my book.

and all dogs do have faults, you just hope not to breding them.

if you would frown on it if it were humans then you should have the same feelings with your dogs.   Biologically there would be no difference.  It can potentially double up on anything good but it does the same on anything bad.  Everything from mental disorders on down the line.
