Long coats are a disqualification!
Most are culled, those puppies in the photos were culled by spay and neuter.

I got her from a breeder in Columbus, Indiana. pedigree can be seen here on the database, search her name, Green Mill Ruby Red

I seen a Rottweiler crossed with a long coat German Shepherd once. Actually I believe it was a police dog. It looked awesome. Beautiful, very intimidateing looking. Looked just like Rotty, but coated.

There are long coated Rottweilers born occasionally.
It will show up in a litter every now and then. That may very well
be what you saw. They will have quite a good coat on them too.

Some people say it comes from the St. Bernard infusion.
It pops up every once in a while. I've never had it pop up in any of my breedings, but I've seen a couple. Dixie War Dogs had a long coated bulldog that was a hog catching machine.
