Does anyone have any insight into how many dog/handler teams are entered in the WUSV Combined Qualification Trial being held in Fayettville, Arkansas next weekend? The event will decide who makes up the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and United Schutzhund Clubs of America combined team.  Entries closed at Noon on Wednesday, the 21st.

There will be 10 dogs, and their handlers, entered from UScA.

From the other club(s), who knows?

I believe someone mentioned on another thread that the GSDCA had filed an injuntion on the WDA against them in Alabama to keep them from the event? I could be wrong. So if no one shows up representing them or did,nt make the dead line i,d imagine USA will represent this year?

The injunction would have been filed against the WDA org. not the members since they are all GSDCA member already.  Currently the two orgs are pissing around who the helpers are and who the trial chair and secretary are.  If there is an injuction filed it would only be relevant to which org makes the decisions.  The members of WDA will be there with their dogs.  How many I don't know.

What I hope is that all the fighting between GSDCA and the WDA is put aside prior to this event and the dogs and handlers that deserve to be there are there.

Let's put the best team on the field for the United States that we can for the 2014 WUSV in France.

There will be plenty of time over the remainder of the year for the GSDCA and the WDA to figure out what the future will hold.

WOuldn't it be nice if you could train your dog, fill out an entry, pay your money, and trial against the same judges and same standard as everyone else at the trial and have the best teams chosen?  Think of how simple and easy that is.  If xyz dog and handler team train for something else, well they probably aren't going to do as well under the same judges and rules as everyone else.  If they do, and perform well, I don't care if they bought the dog for 50 bucks off craigslist and trained it at Petco and did bitework on the neighbor kid and are the local dog catcher and hate dog clubs.  If they want to pay the money and compete against everyone else, let them.

Motion for Preliminary  Injunction and Motion for Declaratory Judgment filed May 20, 2014 in  Circuit Court, to be heard May 27, 2014.

Mystere:

I am not a lawyer but I understand the case is to be heard in Colorado, the state in which the GSDCA-WDA is incorporated. Who has filed the lawsuit, GSDCA or GSDCA-WDA? Also are individuals named in the lawsuit or the opposing corporations?
