If the "Hot Topics" section is supposed to be about the "hottest" threads of the year, why do some not make it in? Why are there threads with over 200, 300, and even 700 replies not in that section? What determines when a thread goes into the "Hot Topic" section? I thought it was based on replies? But that doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone know? Just curious.

So your posting count on off-topics doesn't equal what it is on the German Shepherd side.

I think the threads we are talking about are on the German Shepherd side.

Thank you. Yes, I was referring to threads on the dog topics, i.e. the German Shepherd forum as an example. I was asking about specific threads that have high numbers of replies, on the dog forums that never make it to the "Hot Topics" section? This has happened before; and I was wondering what causes one thread to go in but other similar threads are left out?
