| German Shepherd Dog | V Drake vom Kirchenwald SchH3 | for sure, there are a lot of other countries that still have to solve SOME problems on the animal abuse, but I don't think in any of them the St. Bernard paw is a delicacy... that's what I meant - do you think there are dog shelters in Asia like there are in USA or Europe? or would a fur coats factory in which dogs are strangled be legal? or do you know anybody who would eat dog meat, especially knowing it has to be beaten to death first? I doubt it... that's what I meant - that there are countries in Asia that have no respect for animals, especially dogs; I've seen the German shepherds coats and, unlike some of you, I am not waiting on the sieger show results there - like Zoe said: can you tell for sure that one of these wonderful creatures progeny, on the second or third generation, or out of a not so good bitch, is not going to be worn?... .... | 20.5 years ago |

| German Shepherd Dog | Drigo zu den drei Wieken | No, this is not a common problem in Europe; I've seen Drigo in many contests and the judges never said anything about the tatoo not matching the pedigreee number; but I've got a question: how did this new owner buy him without cheking his tatoo and even get him to the show? I mean, I find it hard to belive that someone pays any mony for anything without cheking what he pays for... as of Drigo being an European champion I don't know anything - I belive he's got the 4th excelent in Poznan, where the FCI European Championship was hold that year. .... | 20.6 years ago |

| German Shepherd Dog | Jake Banus BH | Actually, I'm quite disappointed - I've always considered Oli's site the best on German shepherd and the idea of a forum seamed great to me: I was sure there would be a lot to learn about the breed, but all I found (with some few, small exceptions) were fights and polemics, pride and personal little wars. There are some people with a disturbing superior attitude, arrogant and so full of themselves; they may be experts, I don't know, especially as our approach (the European one, I mean) is so different from the US one, but so far, I didn't see any opportunity of learning anything from them; I've got nothing personal with any of them, is just that I'd rather stay out of the forum as long as this kind of discussions goes on. .... | 20.8 years ago |

| German Shepherd Dog | Jake Banus BH | Again, Kougar, this is perfectly correct and both you and Sabre are totally right, it's just that I couldn't stop thinking about what Brittany felt when she read those lines on her dog - I bet the same thing could have been said on a totally different way (with no agressive sarcasm) - if she got it or not would have concerned her only. I olso have a dog I cannot mate, as he's a long hair (even though coming from a FCI world champion, and being a 4-4 linebred on both Jeck Noricum and Mark Haus Beck)- maybe Brittany is not as passionate about performance as I am and cares more about the pet ideea than about breeding the "real" (as we, here in Romania, call it) German shepherd ideea. As I know him and don't want to cause any problems to anybody, especially when I don't know anything for sure, I will just say that there seams to be something wrong... I still don't understand how this dog had a show career here, how he got to Poznan and what his new owner thought he was doing, as long as he knew there was a tattoo problem...
